Amen!
As a calvin dubbed "romanist" - why is it all protestantism doesnt fall under the warning put forth in Rev 22:18 when we excluded the Apocrypha?
6) That Christ died alike for all, yea, that his salvific virtue of His death extends to all the reprobates as well as the elect, yea, to the very devils as well as unto men.
7) That Jesus Christ came into the world not for satisfaction, but for publication; not to procure for us and to us the love of God, but only to be a glorious Publisher of the Gospel.
Doesnt that fly in the face of John 3:16 - am I missing something?
] 14Just as Moses lifted up the snake in the desert, so the Son of Man must be lifted up, 15that everyone who believes in him may have eternal life.[5] 16"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son,[6] that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. 18Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God's one and only Son.[7] 19This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but men loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. 20Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that his deeds will be exposed. 21But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what he has done has been done through God."[8]
Hate when people can't get to the point. Just say it, for pete's sake. (Woody, take heed.)
Its kind of like those russian stacking dolls
Take it up with the calvinists - Im Arminian - Its an arminian "bash" piece
Who exactly would have "authority" to declare heresy?.....Vicarivs Filii Dei?
& what exactly was my "nice try"?
I chuckled to myself when I first saw the article and where it is from, then saw it was you who posted it. I didn't expect you to browse "those" type of sites.
Yes I do cruise them (gads!)-
honestly they are interesting perspectives ( & no one yells) -
That't can't be possible.
Oh do share
We must remember that Luther was addressing heresies of Rome when he nailed the paper to the door...Through the men of the reformation the heresies of that time were addressed.
Arminius and Wesley (in that time frame) worked to restore some of the faulty doctrine of Rome, Arminius was a pupet of the Jesuits.
Thus the battle rages on today. Wesleys doctrine is at its base more Roman than reformation IMHO . It is Romanism minus the saints,Mary , purgatory, and the ritual. But the theologial thrust is the same..
BTW That is from a favorite site of mine. There is actually some good stuff on there.
calvin = POPE CALVIN because he never gave up Augustine's idea of "the city of God" and "the city of Man." He fancied himself the "new age" pope and geneva the "new age city of God."
If anyone was the tool of romist thought it was calvin.
