It’s interesting to hear the media refer to “God’s Misfits” as an anti-government group with religious leanings. As far as I can tell, that is the description given to police by the 16-year-old daughter of one of the women charged with murder.

There is a group in South Carolina that calls itself “God’s Misfits” but they have no connection to this Oklahoma group. The Oklahoma group met in their homes and had no online presence. There is nothing online to describe their beliefs, or how they are anti-government; there’s only that description that the 16-year-old girl gave.

It sounds like this involved a messed-up family situation. Not sure what “anti-government” has to do with anything. Could just be that there was anger with how the custody battle was being handled by the government, so the 16-year-old said the people in the group were anti-government and the media ran with it as if this was some kind of organized right-wing hate group.

Sounds like these people were messed up though, to kill the 2 women.

The gov lately gets its info on various fringe groups fron the equally radical group SPLC. Maybe they have this group listed.
