I went to a “meet the pastor” dinner last night at our neighborhood Baptist Church. It is a thing they do for people considering joining. You get info on the church, its beliefs, the missions, etc.
There were 16 people in attendance. We were all asked to introduce ourselves and share a little bit about us.
Twelve of the sixteen were former Catholics. It came up as the evening went on that the pastor is a former Catholic.
Most of them shared that while the Catholic faith had been what they had been raised in, they never felt they had a personal relationship with their savior, Jesus Christ. It was all just ritual.
To hear the same thing over and over again drove home the fact that the Catholic Church has a problem. These were mostly people in their 60’s and 70’s who want more than the Catholic Church is giving.
You are far too kind to the Catholic Church.
They are ruled by Satanists.
Getting out is not just a preference—it is a necessity.
