Built on defective theology and ends on defective theology.
The ELCA went off the rails decades ago.
so in other-words- they have absolutely zero in common with God’s word-
Hubble bubble toil and trouble
These are Satanic worshipping pagans.
So, this is still a supposed Lutheran church? Like actual Lutherans allowed this church to be turned into this? I know ELCA is beyond the pale, but this just seems way over the edge.
You go girl, use that free will to honor or dishonor the God that loves you. Graditude is the optimal response.
Their name should be changed to Anton Lavey Church of Satan.
The name: not evangelical, not Lutheran, not Christian, yes in America. That sums it up. There are some in the pew that are not agreeing with the radical. We left the little country ELCA church when things like this popped up with the main synod with spending money toward such nonsense. Some good men staying in ELCA hoping to change it. They are so tied to the “mother church” they are afraid of losing buildings and not being sent pastors. That’s what they said up here.
I married into the Lutheran tradition. I remember the merger between ALC and LCA, I think. LCA was Swedish and was already more progressive. It seemed the merger was pushed by the synod big whigs hard without a lot of discussion. Unity, you know. It has gone downhill since.
LCMS website lists Christ Lutheran in Hilo and Waikoloa Lutheran in Waikoloa on the Big Island.
LCMS was originally in the unity discussion, so my grandfather followed events closely. He told me that the idea of Christ not really dying but going into a coma and waking up from it was tossed around by the progressive synods at the talks. He was rightfully appalled!
Ah, the blessings of “the Age of Reason!”
So ridiculous. So sad. I do hope LCMS is staying faithful.
I was aware of this. Both churches are close to or over two hour RT drives for me.
Time to start a mission church by you!
God gave me the intelligence to be a good engineer.
He did not see the the need to give me a sense of empathy.
I can build a physical church, but not a emotional bond for the emotional part.
