Stanley has always been a controversial figure, but it wasn’t until the last two years that he has been in the headlines quite a bit over the last year or so over his capitulation to the LGBTQ movement and his acceptance of it. Stanley’s theology is aberrant and he has often made comments that do not align with biblical orthodox Christianity. But whether it’s his open mockery of expository preaching, his trashing of biblical authority, or his promotion of homosexuality in the Church, it’s clear that Andy Stanley’s dangerous views stem from one thing—a lack of understanding of the gospel.
Stanley made this abundantly clear in a recent sermon. In the video clip below, Stanley presents a false view of the gospel: that Jesus “became one of us” not to stand in our place as a propitiation for our sins or to create in us a clean heart and renew a right spirit within us. But rather to show us how to create a better world and a better culture where everyone feels like image bearers.
Stanley then goes on to complain that the reason people don’t come to church isn’t because they don’t believe in God, it’s because they don’t believe that we believe that false gospel he just presented.

Charles Stanley was an amazing preacher. Everything he said just rang true (for me, anyway).
But his son Andy is a far different story. I just can’t figure him out. I suppose this is just more evidence that family dynasties - of any sort - stink.
Look Catholics know Bergoglio is a Judas and they pray for him.
Now we need to call out the Judases in the Protestant community as well.
Pray God does something, anything to both of them so they quit with the queer crap and do what they are suppose to do or take them out of ministry.

So many here have said that. Did Andy learn nothing from his dad? I never heard Charles speak but I’m sure he called this crap out when he did.

I came across Charles Stanley quite by accident while flipping channels on a Sunday many years ago. Good that I did. Everything he said touched me. It was solid, scripture-based stuff. No silly theatrics. No jokes. No constant pleas for money. Just the Word.

This is what happens when you turn from Torah. Eventually you find yourself 180 degrees opposite the plain word of G-d.
I suppose his father went to his grave praying for his son to turn and believe the truth. If so, his own will notwithstanding, I feel God will answer that prayer, and that eventually, Andy Stanley will repent, and serve the Lord. I happen to believe that God answers the prayers of His saints, even after they’ve passed on. (For you Catholics and Orthodox, just as the Bible does, we protestants refer to all believers as saints, not to be confused with “Saints”, such as Peter, Paul, Mark, etc.)
This is very much like Francis Schaeffer and Franky Schaeffer V, who vanished as far as I know after a brief 15 minutes of fame trashing his father’s legacy. Or the Reagan kids and their father.
Franky went Calvinist to Eastern Orthodox to atheist in his downward trajectory.
He came across as a truly bizarre figure.

Many examples in the Old Testament. The two sons of Eli, priest and judge in Israel. Absalom, son of David. Cain, son of Adam, the succession of kings in Israel...some heirs of the kings were terrible kings themselves...
Andy Stanley is just another proof that having a good father will not save the children.
Prediction: Andy Stanley will be revealed as a peter-puffer, and probably some other unsavory stuff as well
According to Wikipedia ,Franky is “an atheist who believes in God”....ok....he believes Jesus is very good...just cannot believe in a literal God....
Sounds more like Franky hated his own father for not being perfect...in spite of being a respected theologian...
So sad to see this happen but he is now a TOOL OF SATAN himself! Trying to destroy the Gospel his father so faithfully preached.
GOD WILL PREVAIL.

We should be praying for the elders of that church to remove him. The elders should run the church, not the pastor.
