The excerpt didn’t match the Mail’s sensationalist headline.

None of the article does.

“The Amish have their sins too”

Yeh, like the way they treat their horses. Its just another cult. Ask them if they would defend their country. I’m not a fan.

Russ Dizdar was a pastor who went into a full-time ministry helping victims of sex abuse and Satanic ritual abuse in particular. He said that Amish communities in America had become heavily infiltrated by Satanic or otherwise cultish ritual sex abuse.

Contrary to what a bunch of mentally deranged nutcase activists and do-gooders would have you believe, most Amish treat their horses very well.

There is plenty to criticize them for, and I regularly do. But when someone comes off with this, I know for a fact that they don’t know much about the Amish.

If you want to pay them, I can give you lots of reasons. But this one is bogus.

Note: there are cases of animal abuse here and there. I’m not denying that. I’m just saying, this is not a normal thing.

That’s because Satan gets his best mileage out of making Christians look bad.

And since sex is such a strong temptation for so many, it’s a really hard one to fight.

But when it gets to even isolated communities like that, you know that it has infiltrated everywhere. They are more the canary in the coal mine.

Jesus needs to come back soon as we are racing for the level of evil as the days of Noah were.

You know, it’s a sad person that is so consumed with bitterness and hatred, that they will use an article praising a people group, as a vehicle to point out that these people have problems too.

There is healing for people like you. But you have to want it. You can choose healing, or you can continue to remain a bitter, angry shrew.

Just FYI, bitter angry shrews are useless in the battle against abuse. They actually hurt the cause of fighting abuse.

If you want to truly be effective in fighting abuse, go get the help you need and find the help you need. Then you will actually be effective instead of just making a fool out of yourself.

Many Amish communities have no prohibition on drinking alcohol. I regularly always walking out of convenience, stores with six packs or 12 packs. I have bought alcoholic beverages for Amish bishops that I was dining with. Etc. etc. it’s only some communities that turn a sour eye at it.

“Many Amish communities have no prohibition on drinking alcohol.”

Apparently it’s the “New Order” Amish who discourage alcohol. And tobacco. The Old Order Amish allow it.

Yeah, the New Orders tend to get pretty grumpy about it. That’s not universal,, but more so.

The problem is, if you read the article, it does NOT match the sensationalist headline.

Articles like that are disingenuous when the headline is deceptive about the contents of the article.

Well, not from my personal experience. But their farms are usually immaculate and very well organized for efficient operation (considering their self-imposed limitations)

I think the notion of cruel equine management is by contrast to the way “show” and “performance sport” horses are treated (generally speaking) by their non-Amish owners. The latter practice anthropomorphism in their management style (IMHO). You’re not likely to see an Amish draft horse get visited by an acupuncturist or massage therapist. Just sayin’

I have two DHHs, purchased directly from Amish owners in the Lancaster area. Generally, I love these people. I travel to that area frequently.

I know what I’ve personally observed: “put away wet” in stalls that are full of pneumonia because they are cleaned infrequently.
