I have heard that Catholics believe the inclination and attraction are not sins but the acting on them is. Maybe the Pope thinks that sounds pushy and judgmental or something.

“Persons with a homosexual inclination ought to receive every aid and encouragement to embrace this call personally and fully. This will unavoidably involve much struggle and self-mastery, for following Jesus always means following the way of the Cross...The Sacraments of the Eucharist and of Penance are essential sources of consolation and aid on this path.”
- USCCB, Ministry to Persons with a Homosexual Inclination (2006), p. 13

Homosexuality is one thing, and can exist as an inclination fought against. Trans is completely difference, and even if it is simply mental illness, is based on a rejection of God the creator and of His creation and in fact of created nature.

There is no way of legitimizing any of this or making it acceptable for a Christian. Even if it were regarded as a form of possession or mental illness, a person with those attitudes does not have the fundamental faith to be baptized.

This is also disaster because it takes away the protection of Catholic doctors, parents and teachers who reject “transsexuality.” There is no such thing possible in Christianity but now the Church has thrown them - as well as the deluded victim him or herself - to the wolves,
