Well said.

Fruit and vegetable Gardening is my hobby. I am awed by the process.

Very tiny dry seeds are planted in dirt. Sun and water is all that is then required. (The dirt just happens to have the right nutrients to feed the seeds). Living plants then grow out of the ground in a vast variety of forms, colors, flavors and nutrients. Red, Purple, Green, Yellow and more. Flavors, from sweet to hot. I marvel……same soil and same sun. Where does the intense hot chemical from a jalapeno pepper come from?
How does it happen that the nutrients from my plants are exactly what the human body needs?

One squash from one plant, when opened has a hundred or more seeds to replant plants that would fill my yard. Each small seed is programmed. It will dry when stored, yet that programming will remain stagnant and dry until it is once again placed in the soil.

This is not a miracle? Plants just so happened to evolve in the same manner as creatures? How did they know what nutrients creatures needed to feed on? What a coincidence. NOT.

Very true.

Miracles are all around us all day long.

In fact, it is probably because we are inundated with a constant flood of miracles--all day, every day--that we are unable to see them.

Being overwhelmed by miracles, they become invisible to us. As does the "person" behind them.;-)

Yes, how strange that the plants that evolved to grow on a certain substrate grow on that substrate!

How does it happen that the nutrients from my plants are exactly what the human body needs?

Just a wild guess, but: Maybe because you don't stock your garden with Poison Sumac or Deadly Nightshade?!

Like remarking, "What a miracle that the goods in my larder are exactly what I require to subsist!"

Regards,

Let me lay this one on you, I do a lot of driving and a lot of “thinking “ and a couple of thoughts occurred to me

First, why are there so many variations of trees(will stay with just trees but same could be said of all foliage), what evolutionary value is there in red oak, white oak, pin oak , multiple maples….
Yes there are certain species adapted well to certain climates, but let’s stick with typical say Ohio forest, then there are all the varieties of pines, again what is the evolutionary value of them.

Next my mind drifted to fruit trees. What is the evolutionary and survival of the fittest to fruit trees. Fruit trees expend a great deal of energy to produce a seed pod far more complex than other trees. Why, and I will postulate that the fruit trees were created to provide food, something “helicopter seeds” don’t at least not in the same way. Before someone says well this allows animals to be more likely to eat them and the spread their seeds therefore guaranteeing survival of the species , and that is an interesting take someone said to me. My thought on that was how many apple, pear, orange trees…. Have you seen randomly in a forest, in my experience none, most of not all are cultivated for their fruit not as a way to continue the species, but as a food source

Like I said I have lots of time to think so my mind wandered to other food sources provided by “nature” and the chicken came to mind. The average chicken lays close to one egg a day, fertilized or not, name me another bird that does that. What is the evolutionary value in that for the chicken, I can see it for those of us who consume eggs, but what value to the chicken. Seems the chicken expends a great deal of energy, has to consume a great deal of food to keep that level of production up.

I see God and His hand in almost everything I see, for those who don’t I feel pity for them
