I’ll never understand the condemnation of so many over watching the times we live in and seeing how they relate to end times prophecy fulfillment.

I could see the same types of people condemning people for watching for signs of Jesus first coming. They would have missed Him too because they didn’t know Scripture and weren’t watching for His arrival. And that’s probably why so many did.

Hence the Days of Noah in Luke 17:26-27

Though the scoffing and the mocking wasn’t directly mentioned, as we all know, it certainly happened in Noah’s Day.

Luke 17:26-27
King James Version

26 And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man.

27 They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all.

Lots of lost scoffers out there who would rather “live their best life NOW”, then rely on The Lord Jesus to give them Eternal Life and a Life full of abundance.

John 10:10
The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.

"I could see the same types of people condemning people for watching for signs of Jesus first coming."

Jesus wept because people were not watching when they should have:

For the days will come upon you, when your enemies will set up a barricade around you and surround you and hem you in on every side and tear you down to the ground, you and your children within you. And they will not leave one stone upon another in you, because you did not know the time of your visitation. Luke 19:43-44

And he repeatedly commanded us to "Watch therefore, for you don't know in what hour your Lord comes." - Matthew 24:42. It seems obvious that he wouldn't have told us to watch unless there was something to see.
