I can agree with you in a theoretical sense, however, the same calculus that leads you to conclude that we cant be alone, should also lead you to be skeptical that extraterrestrials could never find us even if they exist, and even if they could, they could never get here.
So my agreement with you is limited on that sense.
Corollary to this is the conclusion that if, indeed, it is proven that extraterrestrials exist on earth, that life is exceedingly common, and beyond that advanced technologically superior is also common.
