During the 30’s church charities would make you listen to a sermon before eating. Anything wrong with that?
Evidently it ain't the Christians.
I know there’s a lot of talk now about neo-Nazis in Ukraine, but it is India today that is nearest to Nazi Germany in having a fascist society. The militant Hindus there routinely blame everything on religious minorities, attack and beat them and threaten them if they won’t convert, and then drag them to police and say with a straight face that their bleeding, beaten victims were attempting to coerce others to convert.
The Christian faith—and Christian conversion— have been part of India since Apostle Thomas!
The current “Hindu Nation-State” of India MUST acknowledge this fact! And they must allow Christians to freely practicer their faith—including calls to repentance and conversion!!
Where ever Christian charities are operating in India they are doing work that is either not being done by others in the community or not being done enough. Hindus objecting to that charitable work, I imagine, are not doing enough similar charitable work themselves. Maybe the real issue is jealousy.
The reason for this and the following violence is to fire up the passions of the Hindus into voting for the BJP party (Modi's party).
As the new round of elections come up, the BJP finds a part on the country to instigate the ignorant and easily swayed population to beat up on the christians in the area. Gang rapes, murders, brutal assault, and destruction of property and desecration and destruction of churches are part of these progroms. The BJP then sits back and reaps the electoral benefits. Christians are an easy target. Nobody is going to stop selling you oil if you beat up on Christians. Christians don't have extreme reprisals targeting the leaders and instigators of the violence.
It is laughable to say that 2% of the population is somehow forcefully converting 80% of the population.
Interestingly there are hindus in the U.S. living among their christian neighbors who feel that this brutal violence is justified and actually are ok with it.
The Hindu elite are mostly afraid of their caste system being exposed as a complete fraud.
