Well you can’t have it both ways. The Catholic church was Christianity for a very long time so I guess nobody went to heaven for 1,000 years. Because pretty much that was the only game in town. I doubt too many people subscribe to that theory. 😏

No. Christians - saved believers in Christ - existed before error came into the churches, adding pagan practices.

But even in the dark hours centuries, God drew believers to Himself for salvation.

Yes Rome frequently martyred them, including children and babies.

But His Gospel of Grace has continued and people continue to be saved today.

The church in Rome was never the only church on the planet. That’s just a little fairy tale that the Romans like to tell themselves.
