An interesting YouTube discussion on the authenticity
Of The Bible- from an historical document review process.
Its a 72 minute interview in which you will learn new things
about the composition of the Bible-
Most important being, that it's writings are verifiable in a way the secular world chooses to ignore.
A good commute listen for sure.
Yes. The Bible Is Relible. Here's Why.
Bttt.

This is your metric for the Bible not being BS. Ok then.
‘If there was a God he would not let children die’. My ex said it. She was leftie.
I had nothing to counter her.
I do accept and believe that the Bible is the word of God.
However this is really something that must be accepted on faith rather than any overwhelming evidence.
Around 350 ad, the bishop athanasius decided which 27 books of the New Testament should be considered Canon and he sent out a letter to the churches in his jurisdiction. He made this decision because these were the books that were circulating around the early church at that time period.
It would be nice if we had a video of God coming out of heaven and telling us which books the New Testament should consist of, but instead it was really based off initially the opinion of this bishop, and then the later endorsement by the rest of the church.
So because you had nothing to counter this, you feel the bible is BS.
If God Zots all the evil, we are all gone, right now!
Getting right with God means turning away from sin. This is the most difficult part. It’s why some people refuse, at first, to find the courage to take a serious look at the Bible.
Objective evidence like what you give here is of high value, thanks for posting.
True
Well said.
One counter would be, so you know how to run things better than God does? (Most women think they do.)
Or, so basically you’re saying because things occur that you personally don’t like, God doesn’t exist.
Or, I didn’t realize God has to manage things exactly how you determine they should be, but since you obviously know more than Him, I guess that makes sense.
I would come at it this way. I don’t know why children die, or why bad things happen to good people. I really don’t know why. At the same time, I also don’t understand, even more so, why God stood by and watched evil people hang His only begotten, spotless Son, on a cross, but He did. I don’t know why He did, but I am grateful that He did.
If this life were the only one, and no afterlife, then why, indeed, would God allow children to die?
But this life is a moment and eternity is vast. God brings the babies who have died home to eternal life with Him. He also judges the evil people who kill babies. They will have Hell to pay.
In the fullness of time, God makes all things new. It is hard for us to see that, so we may assume there is no God, or that he is uncaring.
Here’s why. Please click the link. Otherwise you will never know it. Don’t you want to know? Come on, click it!
Not all people respond to the soft sell. Thats why we don’t all learn what we need from the same lesson.
I can see you’re not impressed with the Bible. Consider this, though, if you care to — 66 times in the old testament alone, the Bible predicted the scattering of the Jews to every quarter of the world, and the regathering of them to their homeland, restored language and all, in “the last days”.
Try to make that happen via natural sociological/ethnic/geopolitical processes. I don’t think so.
Just some food for thought.
1. Was the book written by a prophet of God?
2. Was the writer confirmed by acts of God?
3. Does the message tell the truth about God?
4. Did it come with the power of God?
5. Was it accepted by God’s people?
Truth cannot contradict itself, so agreement with the other books of Scripture was only logical. As was historical accuracy. If the facts of a book were not accurate, it couldn’t have been from God.
Using this criteria, in 315 AD Athenasius, the Bishop of Alexandria, identified the 27 books of the New Testament which was confirmed in 393 by the Synod of Hippo and again in 397 by the Council of Carthage.
So there was a method to their madness....
“YES- The Bible Is Reliable. Here’s Why.”
Hmmmmmmm??????
Because it is the word of God? (just guessing)
But your counter to that could have been;
in a world without God
Children would still die.
Would we care?, Why? -
for life is of only temporary existence in that world.
Even disposable.
Why would anyone care that they died earlier than later?
There in no promise for life in a Godless world.
The ONLY REASON we feel anything for death...
IS BECAUSE there us a creator God who has given us life.
In a Godless world- Life becomes accidental- disposable
and meaningless beyond its function.
Tell her... "Imagine theres No Heaven"...
and life becomes someone altogether different,
and foreign beyond our imagination.
