As has been observed, one believes in God, or the State or the Self.

One finds variety in the various beliefs in God, but no variety in belief in the State for that brings subjugation, and no real variety in the individual when "me" is asserted so often as to be without meaning and value as a belief system.

The atheist, the humanist, the statists refuse God for what? "Me" or the State. But the two are ultimately incompatible, so one or the other will always be their bone of contention. Choose God to be free.

These two positions are not new. They prevailed in the antediluvian world and as position two spread, preference for self, violence, madness, and chaos overspread that world just as is occurring now.
