The existence of a cosmological god who created the universe 13,000,000,000+ years ago does not imply that such a god would have any interaction with the few thousand year human civilization on the third planet of an ordinary star in one of billions of galaxies each containing billions of stars.
God could not be created. That is the argument. As the translators answered, “He was the beginning and the end”, I believe there was no beginning and no end. How could there be? He IS the fabric of the Universe, in fact, He is the universe and all that there is. It is indeed a circular argument as the author and translators described him as a “circle”, with no beginning, and no end. However, how can we, as mere mortals, expect to describe God? It cannot be done because we do not have the minds (or hearts) to comprehend God. The answer to Atheists is that you cannot mold God in your (man’s) image, and you cannot fit him into your box, whether you are a believer or an atheists.
I accept that God created the universe, with all things seen and unseen, and became one of us to perform a sacrifice that passes my poor understanding, but that somehow saved me from myself.
...best I can do.
+++++++++++++
You did excellent by the way.
You did not ask a question, making your response puzzling, at a minimum.
And your “response” is a non-response.
Seems like a pattern.
Honest engagement seems preferable, but many people would prefer not to.
I’m so sorry that you are puzzled.
I just accept that God IS.
It makes life so much easier…🙂
Where did the Jewish people come from? And what makes them people rather than mere animals?
Next: as the 'best and brightest' scientists are unable to 'create' life, where did life come from?
Next: as the best and brightest scientists know they are conscious but do not know what consciousness is, are you able to answer that question and tell me why you are conscious rather than a fleshy robot determined by a fleshy brain as materialist 'science' claims?
Next: if you embrace 'evolution working on matter' as your 'creator,' have you ever seen your creator/evolution? Have any of the 'best and brightest' seen evolution? Answer: No, no one has ever seen evolution, so belief in evolution does not fall into the category of empirical science but occult science, making belief in evolution a religious belief held by faith.
Somehow we will have to discern that they are lying.
As said, just a suggestion.
Very good advice, and a great reminder! Thank you!
It is as if you were wondering, at what point does eternity begin?
Yur welcome.:-) Scary times ahead.
Now to ask where someone who is eternal, someone who had no beginning, came from (‘Who created God?’) is like asking, ‘To whom is the bachelor married?’ It is an irrational question.
God is beyond our comprehension. As smart as we think we are, we are pitiful in our understanding of Him. The book of Job tells us as much about God as any other source. In it Job struggles with the age old question of why God allows evil to flourish and good people suffer. God has a plan and it is so complex we cannot understand it . . . now. The one takeaway from Job is that we are to trust God no matter what our circumstance. However difficult our struggles are, Jesus suffered more for our redemption from our sins. Only by reading, praying and concentrating on this may we rise above what troubles us now.
God replied that His name is I Am.

Yes.
So ask these smart atheists, how big a number is infinity?
They probably will admit that they ‘can’t get their mind around that’.
Duh. And infinity is smaller than God.
Were it not for God, man would have invented him.
Good post.
Yup!
Yup! My wife always answers “that is God Business”.
Indeed one only need to look at the universe aka look up.
