A Contemplation of Asaph.
1 Give ear, O my people, to my law; Incline your ears to the words of my mouth.
2 I will open my mouth in a parable; I will utter dark sayings of old,
3 Which we have heard and known, And our fathers have told us.
4 We will not hide them from their children, Telling to the generation to come the praises of the Lord, And His strength and His wonderful works that He has done.
5 For He established a testimony in Jacob, And appointed a law in Israel, Which He commanded our fathers, That they should make them known to their children;
6 That the generation to come might know them, The children who would be born, That they may arise and declare them to their children,
7 That they may set their hope in God, And not forget the works of God, But keep His commandments;
8 And may not be like their fathers, A stubborn and rebellious generation, A generation that did not set its heart aright, And whose spirit was not faithful to God.
Prayer For Protection Of The Family
We come before You our God and Father, to pray for Your protection and provision for homes and families throughout our nation and for the sanctity of family life, which is being gradually eroded away. Bless us with Your love, and favour all those Christian families that are seeking to live godly in Christ Jesus. Provide for their needs, protect them from all harm and danger, enfold them in Your grace and favour and cover them in the shelter of Your wings. We ask that You would ensnare all those that are seeking to undermine the family values that are built up on biblical principles, and protect the hearts and minds of parents and children alike from satanic deceptions and from the schemes and entrapments of the enemy.
Bring to light the hidden works of darkness that can cause such untold disunity and distress to family life, and may parents unite together as one in prayer and praise to You, as they teach and train their children in the ways of the Lord. May Your grace and your favour be upon men and women, husbands and wives, parents and children as together they seek the things of God in a home that chooses to serve the Lord. In Jesus’ name we pray,

Holy Father, we pray today for families in America and around the world. We know that the FAMILY is your design and divine plan for living, and see that it is under attack. Satan knows if he can destroy the family, lives can be ruined. Entire societies can be destroyed, and we are seeing it happen before our very eyes. Worst of this is the destruction of the innocents—children who have no family protection. Children who are destroyed by abortion before they are even born. We know your first family of Adam and Eve were led to disobedience by the serpent and throughout history this has been a problem, even moreso today. In more recent times, we’ve seen family come under attack from many angles. Holy Father we cry out for parents and their families!
Dear Lord, you taught us that adultery damages the family. That’s when the lie of the era’s “sexual liberation” results in infidelity, fornication and other corrosive sins that shatter the family unit as you planned it. Feminism tries to mock and degrade your Divine Plan for motherhood and discounting fatherhood. Fathers are painted as buffoons; mothers are elevated to head of the household against your plan, and idolized as modern-day goddesses. Men aren’t even necessary in feminist hateful delusion, resulting in the destruction of “fatherless” children’s lives. Men are hated because the world hates You, our Holy Father.
The Marriage Covenant You created is under attack. “No-fault” divorce runs rampant. Children traumatized by divorce grow up and don’t want to be married—they are terrified of the very thing that brings peace and joy to life. The world tries to mock Your covenent of marriage. People can now perform counterfeit marriages between the same sex, and even between species and inanimate objects. Same sex couples believe they can raise children like the Mother and Father of Your Plan, and the world tells them they do a better job than Your Way. MARRIAGE has been redefined and disrepected because the world hates You, Lord.
The world wants to replace fathers in families. Mothers would have to depend on the state to provide. Fathers are told they don’t matter and are completely estranged from their children. Mothers and children are left unprotected with no father in the home. Foolish leaders deem “The Village” should raise children, which includes government teachers as substitute parents. Foolish teachers believe they own their students and can do to them according to their will in the name of “social justice.” In schools these predators abuse children with porn; and confuse them with prideful, arrogant indoctrination into sexual confusion, drag queens and destructive “gender-affirming” mutilations. Teachers put out litter boxes for children who believe they are cats. Teachers prey on students and molest them in “intergenerational love.” Anything goes in school now that the Father has been removed. More confusion, death and destruction. “Family” has been redefined as a weak mockery because the world hates YOU and Your FAMILY, God.
Evil attacks on You and Your Family are rooted in hatred Your Eternal and Absolute TRUTH, dear Lord, our HOLY FATHER. Satan, the manipulative, vindictive, illegitimate father who spawns only lies and death, hates Your FAMILY. He is the worst sociopath full of pride and envy! He knows if he can wreak havoc and destroy your beloved children and innocent ones by attacking your Holy creation of FAMILY! He hates Your Son and His Bride. Thankfully YOU, Almighty God, have already DEFEATED Satan! CHRIST JESUS is the VICTOR and our heroic KING! We rebuke Satan’s lies! Bless the parents of today, especially the young parents, with your Mercy and Grace as they raise the families you gave them. Thank you for your Holy Spirit to guide them and keep them strong and wise in You. We ask you guide the older parents to pass on your godly ways.
Holy Father, we choose to live in Lord Jesus’ V-I-C-T-O-R-Y forever and ever! Send your Grace and Mercy to every one of your believers who takes a stand for your FAMILY, in America and around the world! Thanks so much for your LOVE, PROTECTION and TRUTH! We choose to dwell with You in Your Kingdom for eternity! Thank you LORD JESUS! All praise, glory and honor to You!

Dear Lord,
Bless every father and every grandfather with the best of your spiritual blessings today. Let him know he is not alone in the tasks you have given him to provide for and support those under his care. Show him how much you delight in his work, and affirm the value of whatever You have given him to do—both as a father or grandfather and as a child of Yours. Confirm his worth daily so he has no reason to doubt whether he is loved in the eyes of his Heavenly Father.
Create in him a deep sense of trust in You, knowing that He can count on You to help him lead and protect those dependent on him. Let him know that every unselfish act of love and encouragement he has offered has been a gift that You receive gladly. Show him how effective the prayers of a godly man really are, and what a difference he has and can make to those around him, no matter how big or small the assignment.
When challenging times push him beyond his limits, assure him that You can take Him further into the realm of possible impossibility. Speak deep into his spirit the powerful words he longs to hear from You—that nothing can ever separate him from Your love. Help him to grasp firmly the promises of Your Word, standing with faith on the things You declare are true. Reward him for his faithfulness past, present, and future, assuring him that true success and satisfaction don’t lie in his accomplishments or accolades, but in the steadfast, Christ-like character You are forming in him.
Demonstrate to him Your amazing grace and forgiveness as he seeks to love and to know you with all of his heart, soul, and mind. Release him from unwanted burdens of false guilt, and bless him for his willingness to keep short accounts with You, forgiving both himself and others. Help him to see his children or grandchildren through Your eyes, realizing that in Your hands is the safest place they can ever be. Strengthen his confidence in the Only One who can bring good out of any situation.
Teach him how to meet the needs of his child’s life that are within his ability to do so, but help Him to trust You for the rest. Push out any needless fears, and grant to him godly wisdom and spiritual guidance to lead and direct those precious children in Your path, knowing he must also release them into Your hands with prayerful love.
Complete any healing of past hurts or regrets that may interfere with parenting or grand parenting his children. Build in him a sense of joy, humility, and playfulness that draw his family close. When plans don’t develop as he hopes, or dreams are not yet realized, open his eyes to see beyond this world to a greater joy that never disappoints, and to a Father who will never leave or abandon him or his loved ones.
Give him a passionate faith, a persevering spirit, and a powerful testimony that overcomes any weakness or doubt, as he wears the armor of God daily You have provided for him as a spiritual leader and child of God.
Today, on special days, and for all the days of his life, fill him with the best of Your blessings, so that one day he will stand before you and hear Your ultimate words of praise, “Well done, my son, well done!”

A Prayer for Parents, Grandparents, and Their Children in Difficult Times
Lord Jesus,
As parents we come to you as little children ourselves, with hearts eager to please, needing direction, ready to trust Your leading. Many of us are experiencing a new normal, and we are fearful ourselves, struggling to get by. Equip us for the challenge of parenthood, especially in difficult times. Help us deal with stress calmly and make wise choices each day. Bless the ones You place in our care that they might grow up to be like You.
Give our children and grandchildren eyes to see You clearly, hearts that love you dearly, arms that reach out to others, and legs that run quickly to do Your will. Guard them from temptation, and place godly friends in their path to influence them for good.
Grant Wisdom and Protection
Grant wisdom, a strong conscience, and protection from harm. Keep evil far from them–at all times, but especially now. Wrap them not in a cocoon, but in a spirit of readiness and obedience, unafraid to stand up for You, even if it means standing alone. Show them–and us–how to use our time wisely.
Reveal Your Purpose, Joy, and Beauty
Let them know that heaven is their real home, but reveal to them the beauty of all that You have made while they live on this earth. May they find purpose, meaning, and a joy-filled life in both small and great ways right now that You provide. Guard them from wrong motives, lies, and philosophies that may seem right but that will only lead them away from You. Fill them so full of Yourself, that they spill over with the character of Christ at every turn.
Help Us Offer Grace, Love, and Forgiveness
Guide us as parents and grandparents to train them up in the path they should go, teaching them that greatness and success are found in servanthood, kindness, and godly character–not in performance. Help us to offer them grace in the same way You have poured it into our lives. Let our love for them be unconditional, like Yours, filled with forgiveness, yet with faithfulness and firmness to teach what is right.
In every season of their lives and ours, make us steadfast, immovable, and faithful in our prayers for them. When we–or they–make mistakes, may we both look to You to correct those errors, to receive Your mercy, and to never give up in this spiritual journey with You.
Help Us Give Assurance and Comfort
May we as parents be slow to anger, quick to hear, and eager to accept our children and grandchildren for the precious treasures they are. Right now, they need our assurance of love and comfort more than ever. We’re all tired because of the added pressures in our lives. Help us to listen to their fears and their disappointments. Show us how to encourage them and to help them find creative ways to use their time and gifts. Show us–and our kids–how to express care and love for others during this pandemic crisis.
We know they are only gifts to us on loan, so we release them to Your safekeeping, yet never shirking the responsibility You entrusted to us to take good care of them, no matter what.
Thank You for the Privilege of Parenting and Grandparenting
Thank You for blessing us with the responsibility and privilege of parenting and grandparenting. At times we feel so weak, but You are strong. You will make a way through this. Our trust is in You.
You Are Our Model, Lord
Lord, You are our Model, our Guide, our very Hope. Keep us faithful no matter what, and let our prayers be a covering for these precious ones daily. This day–and throughout their lives–we dedicate our children and grandchildren to You, Lord.

Dear Lord, you are the prince of peace. You are our Lord and savior in this home please, I pray for your peace upon my parents. I know there are many troubles and challenges in the world, as they step out each day to give us a good life please Jehovah Shalom be their peace and stability in Jesus name, Amen
For Love and Unity (Psalms 133)
Dear heavenly father, you are love and love comes from you, I pray for your love and unity for my parents. Please rekindle fresh love in their heart for each other let this love radiate to us the children. Let your love in their heart cover all their wrongs and give them a heart of forgiveness in Jesus name, Amen.
Against Divorce
Jesus, I pray for your strength for my parents to live together and fulfill your purpose no matter the challenge they may face please give them the strength to face it together and overcome. You oh God, institutionalized marriage to last until death separates, please let that of my parents be so. The devil will not tear our family apart because it is not your will that our home be broken. Please save our home and let them not divorce in Jesus name, Amen.
For Health (Isaiah 3:10)
Dear Lord, I pray for my parents’ health, Lord God you are the balm of Gilead. Please give my parents good health because it is your will that they live and prosper in good health. Bless my parents with sound mind and good health, Grace them with a life of ease, peace of mind and absence of wrong. As they grow older please renew their strength and let them live according to your purpose and plans in Jesus name, Amen.
