Hypnosis in Unexpected Places

Hypnosis has been among the dark arts throughout ancient history until the present. In his book on the history of hypnosis, Maurice Tinterow says, β€œProbably the early soothsayers and oracles relied largely on the hypnotic state.”[2] The Bible does not treat occult practices as harmless superstitions. There are strong warnings against all that is associated with the occult. God desires His people to come to Him with their needs rather than turn to occult practitioners.

Interesting read. The root word of sorcery is also Pharma Kia. I believe people are selling their souls to the devil through the medical system and are blind to how we get it is

I spent over twenty years traveling and observing hypnosis techniques being used by ministers in Christian churches.

One of my degrees is in psychology and I have extensive studies in hypnosis and stage hypnosis. I’ve never done stage hypnosis nor will I. The training was done to better understand the process and how the human mind functions.

The goal of my studies was done to differentiate between the false born again process and the real thing. I have observed many times, people claiming to be born again when it was only a hypnotic trance.

I first observed this process in action when an evangelist held a service at a Christian Businessman’s Association dinner. It made me physically sick to see it happen.

When leaving, I stood in the cold rain in the parking lot and turned to God and asked “”Why did you guide me here to see this atrocity?”

The answer came immediately and was loud and clear, “This is how the anti-messiah will lead my people astray.”

That began a long research project that lasted over twenty years.

Basically, the trance induction is a 4 step process.

1. Allow the volume of your voice to go up and down. Shout and then whisper.

2. Tell a sad story then a happy story. Destabilize their emotions. Testimonials help with this as people tell how bad their life was until they found Jesus.

Music amplifies the destabilization of emotions.

3. Induce guilt, fear, or anger. This lowers a person’s consciousness and creates a horizontal dependency. Guilt is easiest in a church setting.

4. Offer them a way to get rid of that guilt, fear or anger. They will go through a physical and psychological transformation as they go into trance. They will swear on a Bible they are born again and saved. It has nothing to do with the real process.

The difference between the fake and real process is where they surrender. If the surrender is to a minister or another human being, it’s fake. External surrender is not connecting to God.

If the surrender is within self to a higher level of consciousness, that’s God and is real. It’s an individual process and not a group event. You must go within to find God.

I share this to help others to learn discernment. Please, never use the knowledge I shared to create a following and/or harm others. You are accountable to God for your actions.

Ps. This trance process is very easy when ministering to teenagers as they are already destabilized in the transition process from dependency on parents and family to an individual self identity.

This is happening now on several university campuses. When students leave the parent and are alone in a first year university environment, they are especially vulnerable.

This is also what causes teenagers to be vulnerable to peer pressure and group compliance.

The trance is 24/7. Not just when they are in the group. The minister often creates an addiction to the group to reinforce the trance and control.

I believe that contracted CIA psychiatrists who are masters at the ‘art’ of hypnotic suggestion lie at the root of many of the Country’s school shootings. Why does it seem that most of these events are in the United States where the Second Amendment reigns supreme? The repetitive nature of the phenomenon suggests there is a government agenda behind it. Who are the government’s social mind-shaping architects? The government has as much admitted to this mind-influencing campaign with its pumped-up, emotionally driven, gun-grabbing propaganda events that immediately follow on the heels of each shooting.

There’s a whole lot of hokum with the Evangelical movement, I say as a Baptist. You look for the sound teaching.

Certainly the Catholic church raised psychological manipulation to a science in the construction of their beautiful cathedrals. They served God’s purpose.

I’ve always thought the altar calls were a little creepy, but there is a lot about organized religion I find creepy.

There’s a lot about organized religion that I find downright unscriptural.

A few years ago I used some simple self hypnosis to cut back on drinking, it helped a great deal.

Very true, I nearly dropped my coffee when I heard about the “blessed salt” sprinkled on window sills and entrance ways in Ireland, but I know that Romans 14 probably comes into play (and God does meet us where we are). I think that might be a good thing about different denominations, that it gets you thinking about what is and isn’t actually from God, and there is always someplace to go :)

Please do not confuse the real thing for the fake process. They are easily confused.

I observed the same techniques being used by our University Dean of the Chapel who was formerly a professor of homiletics at Princeton. He often breaks into song during sermons to manipulate people’s emotions.

I have an advantage in that I physically see the Holy Spirit when it has moved upon a person, or by a minister who is connected and their words are flowing through them, and not created by them.

It’s like a liquid golden light or spotlight that flows into them from above when they are connected. It moves around with them.

Some of the earliest “mind-shaping architects” were Frankfurt School intellectuals like Herbert Marcuse and Barrington Moore, Jr. who worked at the OSS and CIA as propagandists during & after WW II.

Well, I don’t know about your golden light, but maybe. I do know that I was told around seven months in advance that I would be moved out of where I was. It felt, closest I could figure, like a thunderbolt crashing down through my being. For months after that I panicked, and tried to find a way with my meager resources that I could do as God said. I needn’t have worried, He provided a way where everything was provided. When I didn’t pick up on it, being all distracted with “what will I do? What will I do??” He actually sent someone who sat me down and said, look, here’s an opportunity, why don’t you take it?!

Television generally puts people into an alpha/hypnotic state within a minute.

That should be the first habit to go.

Sincere question...Do you believe that some people cannot be hypnotized and if so why?

More than one person has tried to hypnotize me, first when I was a teenager up to my mid-40's. Never worked. I would go through what they wanted me to do (close my eyes, relax, listen to their voice, etc.) I assumed it was because I have always had a rigid belief that I will allow no one to control me (or my mind).

Thanks for your insights.

First, allow me to explain what hypnotism is.

It is a distraction of the logical masculine ego consciousness so that a person’s conscious awareness shifts into their emotional child consciousness.

Thus the techniques used to hypnotize men who are logical and have a strong sense of self are different than an emotional person. Most hypnotists don’t know how to do it. The techniques involve fooling a person’s logic to create logical confusion.

I observe some body movement or nervous twitch that a person is exhibiting during the induction and tell the person it is an indication they are going into trance. This trick creates a logical dichotomy in their mind and removes their focus of defenses toward me.

I haven’t used hypnosis in over twenty years as I don’t want people surrendering their will to me. I seek to strengthen the person by guiding them to find and accept Christ, not take their will away.

The only people that cannot be hypnotized are those that are fully awakened and transcended their ego and are filled with the Holy Spirit.

If a person has surrendered their will to God, hypnotism does not work. However, it’s a full surrender, not a superficial one. These are people that can wear plaid shirts with striped pants and care less what anyone else thinks of them.

That is wonderful to hear, and a valuable experience for you. Someone upstairs is looking out for you.

I have often said that God choreographs my life, and is also the set designer, director and producer. I just try my best to follow His Will.

Twenty seven years ago I was told that I would be moving to North Carolina. I knew no one there and was just driving through the state on my way to Atlanta for business. This voice kept repeating that I would move there.

Thirteen years ago, I moved to North Carolina!

I still own houses elsewhere that I spend part of the year, but I primarily live in NC.
