Here’s an icebreaker the next time you end up speaking to one of your left-wing neighbors or colleagues. Or a telling question you can pose the next person who applies to you for a job. Apropos of nothing, inquire of this person along the following lines:
Hey, I’m just kind of wondering … five years down the road … do you see your family and mine living in the same nation-state, under the same kinds of laws with equal rights and liberties? Or are you planning on people like us being driven out by angry mobs/ imprisoned for thought crimes / impoverished and intimidated into fleeing to some other region or foreign country?

My liberal friends think we just need to be re-educated until we learn to believe properly. They really do see Wrong-Think as “dangerous”. They also believe facts can be “weaponized” and that truth is subjective.
They really hate questions. They believe you should believe narratives without questioning them.
That is exactly how Stalin re-populated Ukraine after the “produced” famine.
I have some old RATs that live around me. They know nothing about anything because they listen to The View and GMA only. They even admit they know nothing about politics other than Trump hate and Tucker Carlson hate.
They would vote for Satan himself, and his sister for VP, not knowing anything about the agenda of Satan and his sister.

I am also going to add this based on what I know about my old RAT neighbors.
They actually look at blacks as less than them, blacks are like funny little things you tolerate because the party says so. They hate Jews too.

Given population growth since the 1960s, the number is now more like 75 million.
The majority of democrats supported punishing those who chose to remain “unvaccinated”, up to and including incarceration. Fines, loss of employment, and denial of medical care were all a part of the package. A significant portion of them would have rejoiced had “the government” rousted us from our homes and killed us. The images of the Chinese welding people into their homes was horrifying to normal people; to them, it was arousing.
This is the correct way to see things. The fear added with smugness was even on FR. There are still those few that pushed the vax on this site that still believe the lies. The lie leads to belief, belief leads to separation, separation leads to ego, ego lead to actions, actions leads to violence and violence leads to mass graves.

The whole thing was nightmarish, and played out just as you described. It became a proxy for killing those with whom they had a political disagreement. The tone of the propaganda was horrifying, coming from “the government”. In California, we were told to take the medication as soon as it was “our turn”, as if we were children. Were it not for the fortitude of my company’s president, I would have been fired. My family shut me out, as did many now former friends. My Dr. felt the benefits of the shot outweighed the risks, but also pointed out very early that the shot did NOT significantly prevent infection, and did NOT significantly reduce transmission. This from a mainstream, but highly dedicated and intelligent, Internal Medicine doctor. “If the data indicated otherwise, I would advise you differently. But it doesn’t, and your risk of dying from this is less than 1%.”
Just another example of how "the issue is never the issue" with these people. It's all about The Revolution, baby!
