Pope Francis criticized laws that criminalize homosexuality as “unjust,” saying God loves all his children just as they are and called on Catholic bishops who support the laws to welcome LGBTQ people into the church.
“Being homosexual isn’t a crime,” Francis said during an exclusive interview Tuesday with The Associated Press.
Francis acknowledged that Catholic bishops in some parts of the world support laws that criminalize homosexuality or discriminate against the LGBTQ community, and he himself referred to the issue in terms of “sin.” But he attributed such attitudes to cultural backgrounds, and said bishops in particular need to undergo a process of change to recognize the dignity of everyone.

Homosexuality is not a crime.
Its a sin.
Homosexual acts should be unlawful everywhere.

To the point (from before Francis), being homosexual isn’t a sin.
Engaging in homosexual acts is a sin.

Don’t think so, but he appears to consort with the evil imams far too often.
I suppose the good thing here is the pope actually used the word “sin”.
That’s a rarity from him.
He said it was a sin.
Local Miami media is thrilled with this story.
Maybe the Francis should re-read the Bible. Also, I think he is trying to make the Gay Priests legal because they can’t get ride of the priests.
A truly godless man who does not believe in the bible, and yet achieved power over the catholic church. The catholic church is dying fast because of this man.
Actually, scripture calls it an abomination.
If people weren’t engaging in homosexual acts, we wouldn’t be talking about it.
