I'm not sure - do you mean blood lines as in needing to be traced back to a previous Mormon? I guess that would be difficult with homosexual “marriages”.

I know they use the genealogy thing to find deceased relatives so they can have baptisms for the dead so they can get to Mormon “heaven”.
