This evening I will attend an event at my parish introducing a group of LGBTQ Catholics called One Love. I do not have any agenda except to listen, because my Gen Z daughter, who has gay friends, asked me to. I am not sure what to say or whether to say anything at all. I will pray before I go. Anyone’s words of wisdom on this matter would be welcome. (But please nothing snarky)

Almighty and everlasting God, look upon the Heart of Thy well-beloved Son and upon the acts of praise and satisfaction which He renders unto Thee in the name of sinners; and do Thou, in Thy great goodness, grant pardon to them who seek Thy mercy, in the name of the same Thy Son, Jesus Christ, who liveth and reigneth with Thee, world without end. Amen.
Why should their sin be elevated to a special status? Should we celebrate greed month? How about killers month? Thief month? You get the idea.
Also, there is nothing physically(especially with monkey pox), mentally (domestic violence is rampant), and spiritually healthy about their lifestyle. Why promote what is unnatural and unhealthy?
