Controversial Global Vision Bible Church leader Greg Locke defended the deliverance ministry of his Tennessee congregation Wednesday, calling Christian critics challenging his decision to chase six suspected witches from his congregation "lukewarm" enablers of spiritual wickedness.
"The message of deliverance is dangerous because it exposes the enemy for who he is. But like nothing else, it also exposes the lukewarm condition of the Church in America," Locke said during the Wednesday night service.
He argued that many believers have "just got numb" to the fact the Bible states in Ephesians 6 that Christians "wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places."
"As we've been doing this series on deliverance and this series on demons and sorcery and witchcraft and things that we have always been up against, but we just got numb to it," Locke said.
"We've taken an invisible kingdom and we've brought it to light, and the devil doesn't like it. He [devil] would just assume that it remains invisible because that's where its [darkness] power is. But when you take away the invisibility, you take away its power because what you do with darkness is not just be quiet in the darkness. You shine light on the darkness so that the darkness is dispelled."
In a now-viral sermon on Sunday, Locke swore that a demon revealed to him the identity of six witches in his congregation during a deliverance session with a young girl in his office last week.
He said he wrote down the witches' names, then asked them on Sunday to leave his church in an animated and forceful fashion.

Kinda like what happened during the Salem witch trials. But at least Locke didn’t burn any of them.
Side note to Locke’s parishioners: You might want to consider attending another church. Because you might be the target of the next literal witch hunt. Nobody needs that.
He sounds demon possessed
[[Locke swore that a demon revealed to him the identity of six witches]]
Uh huh. Either a demon actuslly did speak to him, or he is mentally ill. Either way, he needs help. His congregants should run for the hills before he turns into the next David Korean or jim Jones
David Koresh! Autocorrect strikes again
Apparently.
He also says he is talking to a demon.
Taking him at his word (as assuming he’s not crazy, a large assumption), it sounds like HE is the witch, given he’s trafficking with demons.
He’s also nuts to assume a demon would be telling the truth or would be of any real assistance.
So many levels of stupid here.
I never heard of him. When I saw the headline, I assumed that some wiccan group had disrupted his congregation, but it seems that is not what happened. It would be nice to know why he thought these women were “witches,” i.e., whether he just had a “feeling” about them, or he found out that they really did have wiccan views or affiliations. And if it was just a “feeling,” what was it based on?
If the only punishment is beung kicked out of his church, then it’s a win-win. If they ARE witches, he is rid of them. If they are not, they can go somewhere they fit in better.
Maybe he should chase them from the oscars instead

A “demon” told him
> I never heard of him. <
Me neither. So I did a quick look-up. I assumed he was just some fringe nut with a handful of followers. Nope. He’s got over 2 million Facebook likes. So he’s a nut with a huge following.
This guy us an idiot. This would be like the CIA getting the names of moles from the head of an enemy intelligence service and the CIA fires those agents.
And if you leave the congregation because he is nuts, then there might be nasty gossip about you. Why, you’ve as good as confirmed you’re one of the witches.
The demon would never lie or try to deceive him, NO....
“This guy is nuts..”
Maybe, maybe not.
We had two that actually came out and professed to be witches.
But, we didn’t ask them to leave.
Instead, we said: “Praise God! You`re in the right place to be freed from that damnable lie.” Then, we all gathered around and started praying for deliverance for em.
They flew outta that church house so fast one would have thought they were on broom sticks. Haven’t seen em since.
Was Hillary in his church?
He’s wrong to do this because Demons lie! This is no different than Cotton Mather accusing people based on Demonized young woman giving “spectral evidence”!? Cast out the demon, but don’t believe a word they say!
Huh.
Sure wiches try to infiltrate churches, but the guy has a screw loose if he thinks he can get some demon to tell him who they are.
This is the kind of person who would burn witches if they could.
