I think this pope could easily be the whore of Babylon who rides the beast in Revelation 17. Sexual immorality is often used as a metaphor for idolatry and blasphemy in the Old Testament. I think this fits much more than trying to identify the pope as the false prophet.
I agree…Rome is the Whore. However I am looking for a rapprochement between Rome, Moscow, Jerusalem, and Mecca. The final Whore!
