Raymond Leo Burke, a high-ranking Catholic cardinal who was in serious condition with COVID-19 earlier this week, has been taken off a ventilator and released from the intensive care unit.
According to a statement posted on Burke's official Twitter page, the cardinal has "expressed his deep gratitude for the many prayers offered on his behalf."
On Tuesday, Burke, the former archbishop of St. Louis, was listed in "serious but stable condition" after having been put on a ventilator last weekend.
His family and the church have not revealed where he is being treated, but asked for prayers and a "full and speedy recovery." They also said they were "grateful to God for the exceptional medical care the Cardinal has received from the dedicated doctors and nurses who continue to assist him."

My br in law came back after 3 weeks on a vent.
But he’s never going to have the abilities he did before the ChiCom germ warfare.
what is the cause of that? lack of oxygen to the brain? or damage to the body from the inflammation etc.
I think brain damage. Feel bad for my wife’s sister. He finally came out of long term care to home but he’s terrible to deal with. They’re both late 70s.

Yes, this is good news, but we should continue to pray. At his age, I worry there could be lasting effects on his brain. I also pray that he doesn’t succumb to the inevitable pressure to warn everyone to take the jab.

I got warned about lung damage just for going through an unrelated surgery. Cant imagine the damage from a ventilator
There was a theory that those that went through the tiva protocol might end up with more lung damage due to not coughing. I hadnt thought of that aspect.
