Peterson is fantastic. The way he breaks down things is amazing. I will not use anything he says or writes about, to form my theology.
I’ve read 12 Rules, and have his second book that I will tear into soon.
I believe that Peterson is afraid of losing his world, should he confess Christ. He is on the edge, but afraid to make the leap.
Yes. Peterson is afraid to lose his world. The act of leaping into the abyss as a final, desperate act of absolute personal sacrifice and blind faith, is the only way to perfect salvation.
He must surrender entirely, as must we all, if we are to inherit the Kingdom.
This journey is not for the faint hearted and it is not one we take with compatriots. We take that final, irrevocable step in absolute isolation, with no one beside us save Christ Himself, as our protector, our savior, and our king.
Christ is, in the final moment of life, the Way, the Truth, and the Life.
Reason can take you to the door and cause you to knock. But once that door is open reason is abandoned. You must act with absolute blind faith and leap into the abyss, believing that Christ will keep you from terror.
If His promise is false he is a liar and a fraud and is deserving of his death on the cross. If he is who he says he is, he is deserving of your life. Choose today. There is no other path that leads to meaning, truth, reality.
