The sad thing is the French have some of the premier LE and para military apparatus in the world for counter-terror and organized crime investigations. GIGN, the FFL and other organizations could easily root out and neutralize the troublemakers, and their anti-terror laws, as written, are fairly draconian.
The French people have the tools necessary to stop this. They merely lack the political will to use them.
