Well when they say “safe”, they don’t just mean “welcome” - but that the church must change its theology by force of law and refuse to be obedient to scripture.
I was shocked to see the Evangelical Southern Baptist Church of my youth now advertising “Safe Space” as a draw on their website. The implication is that homosexuality is not overtly accepted, but that people who experience same-sex attraction can openly seek help in that group.
I wonder how long that will last. The language used was so uncomfortably ambiguous that I had to discount it outright.
Persecution of churches, not prosecution
Expect a heavily edited Bible version to go along with the new rules.

Though Christians SHOULD be kind and loving towards all, it is far from being loving to ignore or condone what Almighty God clearly and repeatedly calls an abomination to Him. There's a reason why homosexual people feel stigma, shame and estrangement from God - they know in their hearts that such behavior is intrinsically sinful. No amount of non-judgmental acceptance from other Christians can erase that and believers aren't doing them any favors by pretending the lifestyle can be edifying and enlightening for everyone. God cannot bless what He condemns. The same goes for ALL sexual sin - not just homosexual.
