Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem

Abba, Father,
Blessed Be Your Glorious Name Forever!
We Come Into Your Holy Presence With Praise and Singing.
For You Alone Are Worthy,
You Alone Are LORD,
You Alone Are The One True God of Abraham!
We Thank You, Father, For Your Holy Word,
Which You have allowed to be preserved through Your People,
We Thank You for Revealing Your Secrets Through Your Word,
To those who have will have eyes to see,
and ears to hear.
How Wonderful You Are,
How Holy and Righteous and Just in Your Judgments!
You Alone Are Worthy To Be Praised,
For You Alone Are The One True God!

LORD, We Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem,
According To Your Will and Promise.
We Beseech You on Behalf of Our Captive Brethren,
Christians and Jews,
In Bondage in Hostile lands.

We Pray For Our President,
And other Leaders of Our Beloved USA
May They Receive Wisdom from You
To do the Right Thing.
We Pray For The Swift and Sure Coming of Messiah,
Blessed Be He,
To Establish His Kingdom,
and Make All Things Right.

Blessings To All Who Visit This Garden of Prayer.

Hallelujah and Amen

Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem

Due to my dislike of cooking, a family joke has been circulating for years (I think it may have come from the late Joan Rivers):

Q. "What's ML's favorite thing to make for dinner?"

A. "RESERVATIONS!"

It's not that I am incapable of cooking...I am just impatient and want instant results. That is why I paint with Acrylic Paints instead of Oils. I hate waiting around for paint to dry, bread to rise, or a Turkey to roast. Since I have three sisters and two sisters-in-law who LOVE to cook and entertain, I will not starve!

Anyway, when I was a young bride I decided to make Meat Loaf like my Mom. I put in all the spices I thought were in the mix, kneaded them into the ground meat, shaped it into a loaf, and baked it for a half-hour. I added a little chili powder, to invent a new flavor: "MEXICAN Meat Loaf" and the aromas coming from the stove were delectable! After a quick topping of tomato sauce and another five minutes in the oven, the meat loaf was ready! Mmmm Mmmm Mmmm!

I turned it out of the pan onto a serving platter, and the whole thing fell apart! It looked like a pile of...well you get the picture. My husband wrinkled his nose and said "WHAT'S THAT???" I started to cry.

The next day I called Mom and told her my sad story. She listened quietly and then said:

"You forgot to put in the EGG."

The next time I made Mexican Meat Loaf" I put in the egg, and it turned out perfectly.

While the great monuments of Egypt were built of stone, the homes, shops, and farm buildings were built of brick. That is why Archaeologists have no trouble finding Pyramids and Temples (how could you miss them?) but have a very hard time finding remnants of real-life Egyptians. While Babylon baked and glazed their bricks, sun-dried adobe-like bricks worked well for Egypt, where there was little or no rain. But the mud of the Nile Delta was slippery and gooey, and needed something to bind the bricks together. Like the egg in the meat loaf, straw was used to stabilize the clay and help the bricks hold their shape. When Pharaoh demanded that the slaves make "bricks without straw", he was making impossible demands upon an already exhausted and tormented people. It was extremely cruel and arbitrary, and showed Pharaoh's already hardened heart.

Today, "Making Bricks Without Straw" is an expression that means an unfair boss forcing workers to produce without having the means or equipment to do do, and is part of our vocabulary! Kind of like "Mexican Meat Loaf Without The Egg"!

Come and Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem, For Our FRiends in Need, For Persecuted Believers, and For Our Beloved Nation.

"He was delivered up for our trespasses and raised for our justification." (Romans 4:25)

God Bless America!

Blessings To All Who Visit This Garden of Prayer.

This Symbol Represents Christians in The Middle East, who desperately need our Prayers.

Hallelujah and Amen

Amen !!!! <><

Psalm 71

1 In you, O Lord, I take refuge;
let me never be put to shame.
2 In your righteousness deliver me and rescue me;
incline your ear to me and save me.
3 Be to me a rock of refuge,
a strong fortress,* to save me,
for you are my rock and my fortress.

4 Rescue me, O my God, from the hand of the wicked,
from the grasp of the unjust and cruel.
5 For you, O Lord, are my hope,
my trust, O Lord, from my youth.
6 Upon you I have leaned from my birth;
it was you who took me from my mother’s womb.
My praise is continually of you.

7 I have been like a portent to many,
but you are my strong refuge.
8 My mouth is filled with your praise,
and with your glory all day long.
9 Do not cast me off in the time of old age;
do not forsake me when my strength is spent.
10 For my enemies speak concerning me,
and those who watch for my life consult together.
11 They say, ‘Pursue and seize that person
whom God has forsaken,
for there is no one to deliver.’

12 O God, do not be far from me;
O my God, make haste to help me!
13 Let my accusers be put to shame and consumed;
let those who seek to hurt me
be covered with scorn and disgrace.
14 But I will hope continually,
and will praise you yet more and more.
15 My mouth will tell of your righteous acts,
of your deeds of salvation all day long,
though their number is past my knowledge.
16 I will come praising the mighty deeds of the Lord God,
I will praise your righteousness, yours alone.

17 O God, from my youth you have taught me,
and I still proclaim your wondrous deeds.
18 So even to old age and grey hairs,
O God, do not forsake me,
until I proclaim your might
to all the generations to come.*
Your power 19and your righteousness, O God,
reach the high heavens.

You who have done great things,
O God, who is like you?
20 You who have made me see many troubles and calamities
will revive me again;
from the depths of the earth
you will bring me up again.
21 You will increase my honour,
and comfort me once again.

22 I will also praise you with the harp
for your faithfulness, O my God;
I will sing praises to you with the lyre,
O Holy One of Israel.
23 My lips will shout for joy
when I sing praises to you;
my soul also, which you have rescued.
24 All day long my tongue will talk of your righteous help,
for those who tried to do me harm
have been put to shame, and disgraced.
