The nation was still Israel regardless of what Rome did. There still remained Jews in the land. Rome was defeated by the Ottoman Turks, the Crusaders then the Ottomans again finally by the Brits. Just because Rome renamed Israel it still was Israel; you can call a Buick a Ford but it’s still a Buick.

You miss the point. The nation was dismantled, scattered to the ends of the earth, and there was no “National” Israel until 1948. Why did Israel lose it’s sovereignty for almost 2000 years. Moses predicted all of this of course.

Correct. People don't seem to realize that Rome continued on in the East until 1453. They called themselves Romans, kept Roman law, had an Emperor who was considered until 800 to be the Emperor of the entire empire from France to the Euphrates by even the Goths, Lombards, Franks etc.
