NeverTrump movement was started by Erickson:

March 17, 2016, anti-Trump conservatives under the leadership of Erick Erickson met at the Army and Navy Club in Washington D.C. to discuss strategies for preventing Trump from securing the presidential nomination at the Republican National Convention in July.

He continued this fight through the election knowing a loss for Trump was the election of Marxist Clinton.

He has since admitted he was wrong, but his lack of judgement and willingness to work against this nation to prevent someone he simply didn’t like is not to be ever forgotten.

I get your point. However, I still don’t know who Erickson voted for in 2016.

While I understood how many are upset with “never Trumpers” at any time, in the GOP and in this forum are many similar “purists” who in primaries and general elections refuse to vote for some GOPer not pure enough for them, often insuring Dim majorities in the House or Senate. (To me its rhe same thing as voting FOR the Dims). I know some voters on this forum, and outside of it, who helped Obama win because they could not vote for “Mormom” Romney.

The one thing the Dims have always had in their favor, making it such that more often their party does hold together - party loyalty. There is less bickering between their factions because at the end of the day they want their party to win - because unless you win you lose power.

Yes, I get your point, but if we are to realize the importance of it then our own factions have to agree that our collection of different Conservative factions is a higher good than decreasing their collective representation in Congress.

I want Conservatives to be most active, most activist in the primaries, to help get THEIR favorites nominated. Then I want them to be loyal GOPers in the general election - which is how the Dims hold their seats. That is who social conservatives made their place in the GOP. Winning in the primaries when they can, and partnering with others in the GOP when they must.

If Erik has learned that lesson, I don’t flame every opinion he has today due to any prior error.

I think opinions have to judged 99% on the veracity of any facts and the validity of their reasoning, not on who the messenger is.

Pretty good observation Fop ( love the Sinatra tagline. It all went to hell when he died. It truly was Franks world) The real problem with most Christians is that they are in denial and think John was writing a fictional story with Revelations, and they don’t bother to think they are now the actors in the book!
