Never Trumper.
How about submitting yourself to the Word of God? That should (would) work.
Good luck to him, although this smacks to me of a jailhouse conversion.
His faith journey has taken him from Presbyterianism to becoming an Episcopalian, then Anglican, - so, his path has been forever, increasingly, leftward and farther from Christ
Christianity Today is now a worthless heretical rag and now a huge controversy in the Catholic Church has exploded from the Father Altman sermon against Catholics who vote Democrat. We are in a time of gleaning. It is time for Christians of all sects who love the truth to stand up and be counted no matter where you are.
Watching Laura Ingraham’s interview with John MacArthur last night, it seemed that she was on the verge of leaving the Catholic church. She’s not happy with the wishy-washy stand of the Catholic PTB regarding current politics, and going all PC.
It was a pretty good interview, and MacArthur’s stand is impressive. He’s prepared to go to jail.
And yet, hundreds of thousands of RCs leave it for bible following Christian churches. My non-denominational is full of people who were cradle Catholics. Myself included.
“One thing I like about both Orthodoxy and Catholicism is that you have to do these things, whether you like it or not, whether youre in the mood or not, sometimes whether you believe or not. You just have to plow ahead. I want that.”
That certainly does not sound like someone who KNOWS they are made alive in Christ and seated in Heavenly places in Christ Jesus. Or someone who KNOWS they are complete in Christ, or that the Greater One lives in them. (Ephesians 1-3, Colossians 1-2)
Where is the PEACE, the JOY, the LOVE, the LIGHT that comes with Jesus?
Compared to what is available in Christ, why would you settle for religion?
Colossians 3:1-4 (AMP)
1 IF THEN you have been raised with Christ [to a new life, thus sharing His resurrection from the dead], aim at and seek the [rich, eternal treasures] that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God.
2 And set your minds and keep them set on what is above (the higher things), not on the things that are on the earth.
3 For [as far as this world is concerned] you have died, and your [new, real] life is hidden with Christ in God.
4 When Christ, Who is our life, appears, then you also will appear with Him in [the splendor of His] glory.
