In my opinion, the USCCB is part of the swamp.
More Bishops are marxists than Christians.
My opinion. There are a number of very good Bishops, but they're outnumbered by the materialists.

The Catholic Church revived 1.4 BILLION is paycheck protection funding.

So much for separation of Church and State.

The anti-Catholic bigots at FR are at it again.

The Catholic Cur h has institutions like schools, hospitals that have employees - janitors, teachers, nurses, doctors, administrators, etc.

PPP was a payroll assistance plan.

Of course, the bigots here would love see these workers suffer, because they are Catholics.

“The church’s haul may have reached — or even exceeded — $3.5 billion.”

Drop in the bucket. LA Church used 1.1 billion for lawsuits alone and needs 10 billion for minimal repairs of its 300 churches.

The problem is that the Catholic Church, especially Catholic Schools, started accepting government checks in the 1970’s, thanks to Hesburgh at Notre Dame. As a result, the Church has watered down its teaching and chased away a lot of donors.
