This flag was used by George Washington on his squadron of six schooners which he outfitted at his own expense in the fall of 1775. This flag was a variation of the New England Pine Tree flag. It was later modified and adopted by the Massachusetts Navy. The Sons of Liberty would rally under a large tree, in Boston Massachusetts, which came to be known as "The Liberty Tree". This tree became a symbol of American independence. Knowing they were up against a great military power they believed they were sustained by still a Greater Power (Authority), thus their "APPEAL TO HEAVEN".

As we approach one of the most crucial and important elections in the history of this country this fall, may we as Anerican citizens appeal to Heaven (i.e., to The God of Heaven) for its welfare. The stakes are EXPONENTIALLY high! Truly, America now stands at the crossroads for its future. The very God to whom our Founding Fathers had appealed because of the tyranny they experienced at the hand of England in their day, is now being rejected and scorned in Washington D.C. And throughout our land! A new leftist, socialistic and godless tyranny has rapidly risen in our country and dominates all walks of life. This new tyranny seeks to remove the personal freedoms that were granted to us by Almighty God which have been given to all men in Jesus Christ. May we as Almighty God's blood brought people pray and seek Almighty God's will and way for the United States of America in these last days. Whatever God allows to happen, may we be His burning lights for His ETERNAL Glory, knowing that our citizenzhip and home is in Heaven with Him FOREVER (Hebrews 11:16, 13:14)!
