One of the cable channels recently did a show where they took the 3-D from the shroud of Turin and recreated the face. The face they came up with more than just slightly resembles Orthodox Jews I know in Brooklyn. Kinda surprised me.
The shroud is a hoax. Keep in mind Jesus was badly beaten, and a crown of thorns smashed down onto his head, had his beard ripped out, was flogged, and likely pelted with rocks and who knows what on the way to the cross. Any “shroud” of Jesus would not have revealed a face without terrible disfigurement.
