It may be 50 years away, I just can’t make a good case for it being that far off considering the technology and speed that it’s advancing. Not to mention the soulless youthful generation we currently have.

I could make a good case for it to happen within the next 10 years. Either way nobody knows. We’re inching closer and there’s not much anybody can do to stop it. I like the days of Noah allegory because it suggests that there was a whole lot more going on in those days besides just wanton evil on all sorts of levels. The Genesis 6 narrative reads like a complete DNA corruption of mankind and the animal kingdom.

Scientists have been playing with genomes and DNA for many decades now. Makes me wonder if that has anything to do with it also?

Perhaps. I tend to think it is because we cast God from the public square so as to not offend anyone. Of course they can offend believers with impunity. That was the beginning of the fall from grace. Interestingly, religions followed suit instead of fishing for souls.

I read Scripture with a mind toward the sign of Noah and his family being the only people left who were pure in their race. Everyone else had been corrupted, presumably by the DNA of Fallen Angels, or at least IMO and understanding. If the corruption of mankind had continued there would be no possibility of a David, or Christ.
