...The Rev. Lenny Duncan is a black preacher in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, one of the nation's whitest Christian denominations. As nationwide protests have forced white Americans to talk about race, Duncan's longtime advocacy within the church has become all the more relevant.
Formerly incarcerated and homeless, Duncan was attracted to the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America's welcoming message of grace. But he believes the denomination — and the broader mainline Christian community — have failed to answer the call to fight for racial justice and address the church's inherent white supremacy.
In his book Dear Church: A Love Letter From a Black Preacher to the Whitest Denomination in the US, Duncan writes: "Jesus is Trayvon Martin, armed only with a bag of Skittles and an iced tea against an entire world that would rather hang him from a tree than love him. Until we see this, we are lost."

The ELCA is NOT a “Christian” denomination. They gave up the right to be called that years ago. They have sold their souls to the darker forces.

Most of the Trayvon Martin mythology is a lie.
But, Trayvon was loved by very few. He was mostly abandoned by his mother.
Trayvon loved to fight.
He was probably a thief.
He attacked George Zimmerman and tried to kill him.
How is that like Jesus?

NPR thinks it okay for black people to be Christians, because, well, you know, black people aren’t as smart as THEY are and need “religion” as a crutch. NPR types loathe white Christians because, in their mind, a white person should be smarter than that.
The ELCA is an extremely liberal branch of Christianity, so bad as to not even be Christian. What their statement of belief says and what they do are worlds apart.

He seems to follow the trend of all Christian leaders in forgetting God is God. They are making a god of THEIR image to pursue their earthly agenda.
