A heartfelt statement by the Archbishop of Los Angeles, Abp. José H. Gomez, following the disastrous decision of the United States Supreme Court earlier today:
WASHINGTON The president of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB), Archbishop José H. Gomez of Los Angeles, provided a statement on the decision issued today by the Supreme Court of the United States combining Bostock v. Clayton County, Ga., Altitude Express v. Zarda, and R.G. & G.R. Harris Funeral Homes v. Equal Opportunity Employment Commn. The justices ruled that the prohibition on sex discrimination in employment in Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 now prohibits discrimination based on sexual orientation and transgender status.
Archbishop Gomezs statement follows:
I am deeply concerned that the U.S. Supreme Court has effectively redefined the legal meaning of sex in our nations civil rights law. This is an injustice that will have implications in many areas of life.
By erasing the beautiful differences and complementary relationship between man and woman, we ignore the glory of Gods creation and harm the human family, the first building block of society. Our sex, whether we are male or female, is part of Gods plan for creation and for our lives. As Pope Francis has taught with such sensitivity, to live in the truth with Gods intended gifts in our lives requires that we receive our bodily and sexual identity with gratitude from our Creator. No one can find true happiness by pursuing a path that is contrary to Gods plan.
Every human person is made in the image and likeness of God and, without exception, must be treated with dignity, compassion, and respect. Protecting our neighbors from unjust discrimination does not require redefining human nature.
We pray that the Church, with the help of Mary, the Mother of God, will be able to continue her mission to bring Jesus Christ to every man and woman.
On August 23, 2019, the USCCB, joined by other national religious organizations, filed amicus curiae briefs in the cases. They are available at http://www.usccb.org/about/general-counsel/amicus-briefs/upload/Bostock-8-23-19.pdf and http://www.usccb.org/about/general-counsel/amicus-briefs/upload/Harris-8-23-19.pdf.

her mission to bring Jesus Christ to every man and woman.
Gomez apparently hasnt been getting Bergoglios memos.
Yeah - how did he get the nod to be the head of the USCCB?
The Supreme Court thus established a precedent for recognizing only the biological male and female sexes under the Constitution imo, this precedent effectively becoming a part of the Constitution when the states ratified the 19th Amendment imo.
3. The right of suffrage was not necessarily one of the privileges or immunities of citizenship before the adoption of the Fourteenth Amendment, and that amendment does not add to these privileges and immunities. It simply furnishes additional guaranty for the protection of such as the citizen already had [emphasis added]. Minor v. Happersett, 1874.
The right of citizens of the United States to vote shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any State on account of sex.Congress shall have power to enforce this article by appropriate legislation [emphasis added]."
Insights welcome.
Send "Orange Man Bad" federal and state government Democrats and RINOs home in November!
In addition to supporting PDJTs already excellent work for MAGA, new lawmakers can can also impeach and remove Constitution-ignoring Supreme Court justices from the bench.

Now you know where your Peter's Pence contributions go.
If these Catholic bishops Want to be advocates for the democrat party agenda (immigration, anti-capitalism, BLM, etc.,) theyre just going to have to accept all the other democrat positions.
Most of them already have. Look at how many of them have invited James Martin, S.J. into their dioceses to indoctrinate their sheep to get on board the LGBT train.
