Champions of the far-Left Laodicean Church, a magazine called Christianity Today and started by Billy Graham, has decided to throw their hat into the ring surrounding the discussion on racial tensions and domestic terror organization, Black Lives Matter. Their solution? Americas Christian churches need to pay reparations, or financial compensation, to descendants of black slaves from the 18th and 19th centuries. When all else fails, pay people off.
Reparations is a scheme to extract money from people who were never slave owners, and give it to people who were never slaves Larry Elder
The Jews who lived through the horrors of Nazi Germany, and the families of those who didnt, received financial compensation for what the Nazis stole from them and for what they did to the Jews in the Holocaust. But here 75 years after the end of WWII, those reparations are nearly all ended as most of the people have died. Reparations are not a bad idea for the generation who was victimized, but when you get decades and centuries down the road, reparations are virtually impossible to rightly calculate. But thats not the only problem with reparations.
Many blacks now living in the United States are not descended from US slaves, and as such, they would receive nothing. Imagine the outbursts of rage and riots from the people who, in their mind, deserve compensation because theyre black, receive none, and then have to watch as friends and neighbors do. Then the ones who receive compensation will immediately say it is not enough, no matter how much it is, to compensate for incalculable pain and suffering. It was just be a money grab given to angry black people in the hopes of stopping the riots. A nonsensical idea at best.

What does Mark 13:8 mean?
“Nation” is from the Greek root word ethnos and means a group of people who are associated by some shared characteristic, whether geographical or familial or tribal. Paul uses the term in his letters to identify Gentiles in general (Romans 2:14, 24; 3:29). “Kingdom” is from the Greek root word basileia, and has more of a formal, political meaning. It is the territory and people ruled over by a specific leader, particularly a monarch. In simplified, modern terms, with basileia, Jesus prophesies formal wars, and with ethnos, He warns us of what modern people might define as “terrorists.”

This is what happens when agnostic homosexuals infiltrate Christian publications, seminaries and religious orders such as the Jesuits. They become a cancer and do all they can to destroy their host. What rational Christian knowingly supports these institutions?
Homosexually is incompatible with a spiritual life. Jesuits are probably 75% gay
Christianity Today may as well be “Humanism Today”. Waste of paper and time.
My family lost some members during the civil war fighting for the right of people to be free. Why don’t these clowns pay reparations to my family for those lost? We owe nobody reparations for anything.
And if the term 'body of Christ' is obscure to you, think 'the student body, the body of students' ... the body of Christ is a group made up of ALL who have believed in Him since the preaching by Peter on the Day of Pentecost when the Church/ Ekklesia/ body of Christ/ the total of all Christians body was begun.
I’d be happy to chip in for reparations for anyone that will leave the country and renounce his or her citizenship.
Spot on post!
The last “seven” of Daniel’s 70 sevens is about to begin. Jacob’s trouble.
Reparations with repatriation.
No.
more like Fake Christianity Today
I’d be happy to pay reparations to any black person alive today who was born before 1865, and was enslaved.
It’s open public info that Germany has paid over $89 Billion (There’s a “B” in there) to Holocaust survivors and their families.
The truth is out there if you wish to see it.
I’d pretty much tell them “GFYourself” as I was walking the door...
They can count on my two cents.
As my family did not have slaves and not a one of them ever was a slave they can take their begging bowls elsewhere.
How about they pay ME for Repatriation for all the welfare money they DID take from my taxes.
"Zacchaeus had not personally designed the unjust system of Roman taxation. But he had not denounced it either; he had participated in it and profited from it. So Zacchaeus did not merely repent of his ways; he made restitution. He set up what we might call a Zacchaeus fund in order to restore what belonged to his neighbors. Are we willing to do the same? Black lives matter. They matter so much that Jesus sacrificed everything for them. Are we willing to sacrifice as well?
"Perhaps the country is not ready to make reparations. But the history of racial injustice demands personal and corporate response. Perhaps the church can lead the way in biblical restitution. I am aware of one Zacchaeus fund in Atlanta, where Christians who believe that African Americans have been subjected to four centuries of injustice and plunder are beginning to do their humble part to make it right."
It is calling for a "Zacchaeus Fund" instead of reparations, not that either would solve the problem.
When is Egypt going to pay reparations for enslaving the children of Israel? With 3200+ years of interest, there should be payments to anyone of Jewish ancestry. I think the Samaritans should qualify too.
