Indeed - not quite warp speed but getting there.
While I don’t believe in the author’s take here, I am coming to believe in his conclusion - that the events we are seeing have eschatological implications.
If Trump wins in 2020, the Russians (Soviets) and Chinese will launch a nuclear first strike against the US in 2021.

Democrats will defund our nuclear deterrent modernization plans resulting in an inevitable unilateral disarmament on our part in the early 2030s when our present arsenal essentially expires. So I would say if Dems win it will be mid 2030s.

1) The headline caught my attention. those are the only stories that have been told for a long time.
2) “A ship in the harbor is safe but that is not what ships are built for” There is much reflection on that. There is no safe harbor in the coming storm. In fact, the harbor is the worst place to be in the storm.
THE HARBOUR IS THE WORST PLACE TO BE IN A STORM.
Read that slowly and let your libs move. We are all going to have to move into the storm. We all have a small role in the comming events. It is time to do mental rehearsal.
If Trump wins, the Russians and Chinese have a limited time to attack before we become too strong again. Plus it is likely that their cover will be blown. A surprise nuclear missile attack is the only way.

If you read the Bible (see Matthew 24, Mark 13, John 21), you will discover that these events will not start until the man of perdition (the Antichrist) is revealed. The world will glom onto to him as the promised “messiah” and be lead astray. Christians will know that he is NOT their Lord and will be persecuted for not accepting him. None of these things have happened yet.
It is tempting to jump to premature conclusions. The Bible is not silent on what must occur before the man of sin is revealed.

In general, yes, those chapters mainly talk of events once the man of sin has made his debut.
The spirit of antichrist has been operating at least since the Apostle John’s day (which includes the first advent of Christ Himself).
It would seem the spirit of antichrist is operating more openly these days. IMHO, especially since 2008.
Know a young guy, casually (don’t really know anything about him except that I’ve seen him a few times). Works at a local store. A few days ago, I spotted him in a dress, wearing a pink accessory and black stockings along with that looked like female shoes.
I did a triple-take, wondering if I was looking at the same person I had been seeing for months. Sad to say, yes I was.
I was flabbergasted.

Yes they do. And they *specifically* talk about the Lord’s return occurring on the heels of these events. The reset begins with Christ’s return, when he comes on the clouds of heaven.

The reset has not begun.
The last 7 years definitely has not yet begun. That’s for certain!
I found this intriguing and simple to follow biblical exposition on the post-tribulation pre-wrath rapture. We have not experienced the first 1335 days (Daniel 12:12) the end of which I think marks Christ's return in the midst of Daniel's 70th week.
Daniel 12 like the rest of Daniel talks of the coming of Christ and the destruction of the 2nd temple - 1290 days = 42 months approximately = 3.5 years
and three and a half years is the duration of the First Jewish-Roman war which culminated in the destruction of the 2nd temple
If you connect this to Revelation 11:1-2 it is given over to the nations, and they will trample over the holy city for 42 months - John's description evokes the prior desecration by Antiochus
The number 7 has a symbolic meaning to the 2nd temple Jews - it is a combination of 3 (the number for God) and 4 (earth) - it is a sign of completeness. there is no gap between the 69th and 70th "weeks" -- note that the Apocalypse talks of the destruction in 69 AD when someone "shall cause sacrifice and offering to cease"
The 70 weeks bestowed six blessings that were bestowed as a result of the first advent - There is no doubt that Daniel's prophecy constitutes a prediction of Christ's advent 2000 years ago. For He appeard to the world at the end of "70 weeksp>An eternal righteousness also was proclaimed which overcame the mere righteouness of the Law; and the vision and the prophecy were fulfilled
In Hebrews 9:26 and 28 we read For Christ has appeared once for all at the end of the age to put away sin by the sacrifice of Himself.
As Jesus declares in Luke 4:16-21 Today this scripture has been fulfilled in your hearing
all the six benefits of the 70 weeks have been bestowed by Christ already. the last week ended in 69 AD -- and the common Jewish interpretation agreed with that - that Daniel's 70 weeks ended with the destruction of the temple in 69/70 AD

True - as the Tribulation spoken of in the book of the Apocalypse has already occurred. The entire rapture fantasy nowadays is a waste of time, correct -- good business though for the Harold Campings and "Left Behind" authors/directors
