[Barf Alert] Silence For Years On Pro-Abort Dems . . . But See Fumes From D.C. Archbishop When GOP’s Trump Angers Him

After bad Catholic Vice President Joe Biden claimed to be a practicing Catholic at the March 30, 2016, White House Easter prayer breakfast, I promptly contacted the media-relations office of the Catholic Archdiocese of Washington, D.C., to obtain a comment.

Biden, after all, was a firm opponent of foundational Catholic and Christian beliefs. He favored massive permissive abortion, took credit for persuading President Barack Obama to favor “same-sex marriage,” supported compulsion of religious believers to act against their consciences, as well as backing embryonic stem-cell research.

I asked, “Does the archdiocese plan to make any statement on Vice President Biden’s claim at the March 30 Easter prayer breakfast that he is a practicing Catholic? His public opposition to foundational Catholic moral teaching belies this.”

The media-relations office promptly responded on April 4: “Thank you for reaching out to us. The Archdiocese of Washington declines comment.”

I wrote this up as the top story on Page One for The Wanderer dated for April 14, 2016, under the headline, “Biden’s ‘Catholic’ Claim — D.C. Archdiocese Declines Comment; Practicing Catholics Tackle Veep.”

Later in 2016 Biden “committed scandal,” as I wrote in a front-page story for The Wanderer dated for August 18, 2018, “by officiating at a ‘same-sex marriage’ at his residence for two male White House staffers as August began. Pretending to join two people of the same sex in matrimony is an absolutely forbidden role for a practicing Catholic.”

But how about regarding the first president ever to speak in-person in nearly half a century at the national March for Life last January, Donald J. Trump — and he’s not even Catholic? Not to mention the numerous pro-life initiatives under the Trump administration. Gregory quickly blared out a personally ferocious statement against Trump at the top of a two-page news release on June 2 officially from the archdiocese.

I think you missed the point.

Biden is Catholic, is pro-abortion, is pro homosexual marriage. Trump is not pro-abortion or pro-homosexual marriage.

It’s not about one’s religion or one’s spouse’s religion, with the DC bishops; it’s all about PC politics.

Did you read Vigano’s letter to the president, it was great.

Makes sense when we have a Pope that considers abortion to be a non-issue, invites homosexuals to not only join but take leading roles in the church, thinks being a Christian is all about limiting climate change, encourages lawless behavior in illegal aliens, blesses pagan idols and washes the feet of Muslims while telling Christians not to evangelize.

Seems to me that most of the Church hierarchy is Roman Catholic in name only.

You're damn right it's all about politics. Why else would the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops have their offices in Washington DC in the first place?

What's interesting is that historically, the Archdiocese of Washington DC has never been very important for the Catholic Church. By my count there are at least 25 other dioceses around the U.S. with more Catholics, and only about 20% of the population in the area covered by the Washington archdiocese is even Catholic.

This is why the place was always a dumping ground for stunted misfits like Teddy McCarrick, that flaming fairy Donald Wuerl, and now this jackass Wilton Gregory.

Well, they're not exactly treated like saints. Pelosi was forbidden to receive Communion, according to a ruling for the Apostolic Signatura (Catholic 'Supreme Court') which has never been rescinded.

Even my bishop (Bp Stika, of Knoxville) has said she could not receive Communion in this diocese. Others, too.

Wilton (’Baffling and Reprehensible’) Gregory certainly proves the truth of Jesus’ description of hireling shepherds.

You should post Ab Vigano's letter to Pres. Trump for those who think the Catholic faithful are floundering and ready to roll over....
Fear not... unless there is something to fear....
