Deciphering the Biblical 666 (Part 5)

1 Corinthians 1:7 "So that you come behind in no gift; waiting for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ"

God's word commands us to pray, seek (Luke 21:36), and wait assiduously and patiently for the soon coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. He has given us His word to understand the coming "Beast" system and it's "Antichrist" leader. We are also given prefigures to the coming Antichrist system throughout the Bible.

The next Biblical prefigure to the coming Antichrist is Nimrod. Nimrod was the great grandson of Noah, and son of Cush. After the Biblical flood, which is believed to have occurred around the year 2472 BCE, as God had commissioned them to do, men began resettling and replenishing the earth (Genesis 9:1). The entire earth spoke the same language. A large group of men settled in the land of Shinar, which is the land between Tigris and Euphrates rivers in modern Iraq. The group was led by a man named Nimrod whose name means, "let us revolt".

Nimrod was the great grandson of Noah. His father was Ham's son Cush. Nimrod had became a mighty one in the earth; one of the technocratic elite (Genesis 10:8). It is likely that he made his fortune through brick technologies and asphalt (Genesis 11:3) and or political savvy. He is called in the Bible, "A mighty hunter before the Lord". Since nothing in the narrative mentions or indicates hunting animals, scholars speculate that Nimrod’s mastery of "hunting" was in bringing men into his sphere of influence. Some things are missing. The tower was a symbol of Nimrods greatness. He wanted to be adored and feared and obeyed. The second, and most sinister, is the lack of faith in God to not flood the world again. He also did NOT want to spread out the earth and populate it. This spurred Nimrods intellect to devise building materials and construction to never again be under outside interference from God.

and let us make a name, lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth.”
But God did scatter them abroad and divided them through language impediments to accomplish what Nimrod sought to avert in vain.

I agree with what you are saying. I thought I covered all of these points in the article. Did you read the entire thing?

Not to make light of anything in the Bible, but the article did say Nimrod made his fortune in asphalt and bricks.

Anyone want to guess what the tower of Babel was constructed of?
