There’s also this very interesting prophecy in Daniel.
Daniel 12:4 But you, Daniel, keep this prophecy a secret; seal up the book until the time of the end, when many will rush here and there, and knowledge will increase.
Well, people are rushing/going to and fro and knowledge is increasing at an amazing rate.
It’s just another piece of the puzzle.
We’re still here for one reason: as ambassadors for Christ preaching reconciliation with God by the FINISHED WORK OF CHRIST. Salvation by GRACE through faith, not works. This is how the Church the Body of Christ is formed. And until that Body is COMPLETE we will remain. Only God knows who the last person will be but we know it is not complete yet, simply because we are still here.
2nd Timothy tells us about the last days of the Body of Christ. So does 2nd Thessalonians. These are epistles written to believers, the Body of Christ, about the last days of the dispensation of the GRACE of GOD. That’s what Romans through Philemon are all about: the beginning of the Body, the building of the Body, and the end of the Body, when it is complete and Christ comes to save us from the WRATH of God. Our job will be finished. And Israel’s job will begin once again. The Gospel of the KINGDOM, where they WILL be a Nation of Priests to all the other remaining nations.
