Several years back my Dad and I were discussing this issue and he asked me the question that is stated above.
My reply was, “The Jews are back home in their land. Never before in 2000 years have they lived in their land. Never before in 2500 years (or so) have they been in power in their land.

Newton wrote more about God than he did about science. He believed we search for laws in nature, because there is a law giver.
And it’s more than political upheaval.
There’s the moral breakdown, the widespread rejection of God, abortion, sexual perversion everywhere, decriminalizing child porn and sexual abuse, to name a few.
There’s far more than just one or two prophecies that people are using to discern the times. It’s a whole slew of them. There are a lot of things coming together at this time that have never come together before.
But I think YOU know that even if others pooh-pooh it.
I agree. I think Israel started the countdown.
