The Spanish flu?
Egads, I hate these threads. Between people and their “no one knows the hour but the Father” preachiness, designed to shut down discussion; and all the fighting over jots and tittles, I long ago quit arguing prophecy.
I had a pastor tell me once, “I know all the theories. I studied them in seminary. But I still have to wait to see which one is right.”
“Youre way off...Nobody is setting dates here as you pretend.”
Of course not!
Setting a date puts you on the hook! And you know damn well that is the last thing you want, because you have no bleeding idea what you are talking about, and dont want to risk looking like an idiot.
No date = string together bible verses indefinitely to fit any current events. Because any moron can do that.
“Your big beef right now is that life as you know it is pretty much over”
Uh huh...riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight. My life is perfectly fine, Rev. Jones.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_dates_predicted_for_apocalyptic_events
So where can I put your name on this illustrious list? A lot of actual serious clergy there. Some that have claimed to have received visions directly.
They blew their predictions, but you totally KNOW for reals.
You should be more worried about your ending than that of the world ending.
A Christian actually should have a yearning outlook for the Return of Christ. There’s a crown handed out for that (2 Timothy 4:8).
The Bible is about 30% Prophecy - a good portion of it is still yet to be fulfilled. There are varying ideas of what comes first and how it all plays out.
Main thing is you are ready for your end and that can happen anytime. 1 Peter 3:15
Nobody is posting dates again...
I hear you - I just think the world is far more ripe. The internet has transformed our world - for good and bad. We’re more integrated than ever before. Our technology has made the world smaller so a ‘final clash’ just seems more inevitable. The CCP has a greater means of spawning evil all over the world than any other entity at any other time in history.
Was this the first deployment of a global bioweapon? Intentional or not, it was always a likely event. Now we have Bill Gates promoting ‘mark of the beast’ like ‘solutions’.
Things are moving faster and faster. It’s not that there’s always been evil, it’s the ability of what evil can accomplish today. It’s as though the pieces are all there.
LOL!
You claim I pretend here to know the time of the end.
You also know I didn’t put a date out there, but then you want to add my name to failed prediction list???
Whatever stupid game you’re playing is low IQ as usual and I see you still cannot move on from name calling and childish rants.
You must be a joy to be around!
It would be impossible to pick any period of history and not see signs that are tagged as pointing to the “end times”.
Of course, the main one, the destruction of the temple, is always conveniently left out, since it was a one-time event.
Exactly!
There’s plenty more to offer up for signs, but Israel and the technology currently around are huge “super signs”.
It’s okay to discuss it, but the Scriptures don’t change. The times do. My favorite one is Rev 3:10. “Because thou has kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation to come upon all the world to try them that dwell upon the earth. (KJV)
I used to hang out in all the prophecy conferences, with Hal Lindsey, Chuck Missler, Dave Hunt, David Jeremiah. Great people.
What about the desecration of the temple as prophesied in the future tense? And mentioned in several different books?
It says they polled only white Evangelical pastors and pastors of “historically black” churches. Apparently all other protestants, Catholics, and orthodox pastors opinions don’t count. Hmmm.
* Plague
* Babel (Global, internet)
* Anti-Temple (vaccine body branded)
* Days of Lot
There’s a standing joke among the prophecy conference folks that those 30 minutes of silence in Heaven in Revelation 8:1 is for everybody to fix their version of Eschatology. ;)
You hang out with some legends there!
China always has had the symbol of the dragon...which is featured quite prominently in Revelation.
Yes, we could be heading into the Great Tribulation, but I do pray we outlaw child sacrifice, have a world wide revival and repent.
However, Jesus returns once. read 1 & 2 Thessalonians in regards to the resurrection of the dead.
2 Thess
2:1 “Now we request you, brethren, with regard to the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to Him, 2 that you not be quickly shaken from your composure or be disturbed either by a spirit or a message or a letter as if from us, to the effect that the day of the Lord has come.
3 “Let no one in any way deceive you, for it will not come unless the apostasy comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction, 4 who opposes and exalts himself above every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, displaying himself as being God.
5 Do you not remember that while I was still with you, I was telling you these things?”
Do a word study on “resurrected,” apropos for one of two most important holy days. The Thessalonians were told that the resurrection had already occurred. The resurrection of the dead is the key to the timeline. And, there are two. One at the Lord’s return and one at the end of His millenial reign.
Do not fear.
Revelation 20
4 “Then I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was given to them. And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of their testimony of Jesus and because of the word of God, and those who had not worshiped the beast or his image, and had not received the mark on their forehead and on their hand; and they came to life and reigned with Christ for a thousand years.
5 “The rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were completed. THIS IS THE FIRST RESURRECTION. 6 Blessed and holy is the one who has a part in the first resurrection; over these the second death has no power, but they will be priests of God and of Christ and will reign with Him for a thousand years.”
Very Few have seen directly what defiance against God can bring.
Multiple instances of defiance.
It ends SO BADLY
HE HAS SO MUCH PATIENCE but once it’s worn out HE HAS WRATH that FEW MEN HERE know.
But after a decade of submitting to him, he brought me back from near death to a good existence, worshiping him
It’s a story too long to tell.
I strongly suggest not defying HIM.
It ALWAYS ends bad.
And yet HE is so GREAT that he gives you a chance to rebuild
God bless everyone on this Holy Thursday Night
