No, Christ, not man, is at the center. For that not the be the case, there is no case for Christianity. A MAN claiming to be a Roman Catholic Pope, unless they are a heretic, has to state that clearly. Francis is a heretic not merely to Catholicism, to Christianity.
In Daniel’s telling of Nebuchadnezzar dream (Daniel Chapter 2) there is a statue with a head of gold, breast and arms of silver, belly and thighs of brass, legs of iron, and feet partially of iron and clay. The statue was destroyed by a stone that was cut out without hands and smote the image upon its feet, and the whole rest of the statue was broken into pieces and scattered to the four winds.
The gold head represented Nebuchadnezzar’s Babylon. The silver represented the Medes (Kurds) and Persians (Iran), the bronze represented Greece, the iron represented Rome, and the iron mixed with clay represents, I think, the Islamic remnant of the Roman Empire. (Desert sand and iron)
All are still here except Babylon, unless the United States is Babylon. If so, it has to be returned to a golden age before the statute can be destroyed. This is what President Trump is doing. Also, he actually has a “head of gold” and gold is his favorite metal and color.

In my youth I had a strong interest in apocalyptic theology and theories. Probably as a result of discussions with my grandmother who was a Jehovah’s Witness.
One thing I noticed is that the Bible has no references, at least that I ever found, to America. Doesn’t mean they won’t play a part, though. God has left a lot of information out of the Bible that I would like to know.
Anyway, it’s been a while since I’ve indulged, but I had never heard that explanation before that I remember.
Could be right, although currently I would prefer to believe that Trump has nothing to do with the end times.
