A state level Bishop recently gave a talk on the future of the church and included this jewel: “I see bishops say, “Just pray and hope for the best or pray and study and hope for the best.” “We’ve done that every four years for a long time. And you know what? Praying and hoping for the best hasn’t gotten us a long way.” My comments: Can you imagine a Bishop of the church saying praying hasn’t gotten us a long way? She is certainly going with the liberals, certainly she should go with them too.
I detect the problem right there.
