He was never convicted of rape. Just accused. Woman who accused him refused to testify. She made out okay though, got some money in a civil case which was probably what she wanted all along.
If you read his statement he admits it was rape....though he says HE thought she wanted to be strangled and screwed.
And I have no doubt the woman was paid off.
