Christ is born! Glorify Him!
Some may not know, but today is December 25 according to the Julian calendar. That’s why today is Orthodox Christmas.
A blessed Christmas, Orthodox FRiends!
I observe Christmas according to prior to the 2nd Vat council liturgical changes. Tree & outside creche with baby Jesus lights up not before the eve. 3 kings on Jan 6th kept up till after 2nd Sunday in January.

Today is Orthodox Christmas for those who use the Old (Julian) Calendar (e.g., Russian and Serbian Orthodox Churches).
New Calendar Orthodox (e.g., Greek, Orthodox Church in America) observe Christmas on December 25. January 6 is Theophany, and January 7 is the Synaxis of the Holy Glorious Prophet, Forerunner and Baptist John.
Thank you for the info and link! I was reminded of the holiday today by a Serbian Orthodox friend.
Old Calendarists also include the Georgian Orthodox.
New Calendarists also include the Antiochian Archdiocese.
I celebrated the Synaxis of the Forerunner today.
