Acts 10:9-16
Yeah, but that was a command to NOT exclude gentiles from salvation...God had given them his holy spirit.
Peter gave this interpretation of the vision:
Act 10:28 Then he said to them, "You know how unlawful it is for a Jewish man to keep company with or go to one of another nation. But God has shown me that I should not call any man common or unclean.
Peter told his story to Jewish Christians and this was the take away.
Act 11:18 When they heard these things they became silent; and they glorified God, saying, "Then God has also granted to the Gentiles repentance to life."
Nobody understood it to mean that they should stop observing the biblical principles of eating what God said they should...despite it being used for justification of such today.
