I'm interested in your thoughts. Was this good? Bad? Mixed? Why?
By the way, the post is from EWTN on Twitter.
Europeans, of Italian descent, are “indigenous” to the area, so the statues are of some natives from some other continent, it appears.
Stealing is bad.
Great work! God bless them!
I told our associate pastor, Fr. Jesus, about it on the way out of the 8:30 Mass. I said "Did you know somebody went into the Church of Santa Maria de Traspontina and gathered up all the Pachamama idols and threw them into the Tiber?"
He smiled serenely and said, "It's about time."
I call it pure, excellent, praiseworthy.
Tagline.
Catholics who are fed up with the pope integrating pagan religions into the church?
Magnificent!
"I am the Lord thy God, thou shalt not have any strange gods before Me.
In Inca mythology, Pachamama is a fertility goddess who presides over planting and harvesting, embodies the mountains, and causes earthquakes. She is also an ever-present and independent deity who has her own self-sufficient and creative power to sustain life on this earth.

The obeisance given this idol is something that is reserved for God and God alone. Putting it in front of the Tabernacle is an affront that demands reparation to the Blessed Sacrament.
I wonder if Francis is going to excommunicate these men of heroic virtue. The Vatican spokesman could only say that “they don't want to dialogue.”
Exorcists say it best: You do not dialogue with the devil.
And ya know what? If I was in Rome, Bergoglio and all his henchmen would be going into the Tiber too!
LOL, that's Schönborn's church. He's going to have his nose out of joint!
I've been praying a rosary every day for the Synod. What an awesome thing to happen!
Very good! Now get rid of the rest of these idols. I hear theres one in the Vatican. And pull up that tree!
My only criticism is that the damned things (and I mean that literally) should have been burned first.
What’s the Vatican response to this
